Crazy title but it is the only thing that made sense to me for this post as the one trait of Kaira am going to speak in the post is something that makes me want to hug the two of them real tight and at the same time throw a punch at them. I find it so very endearing and at the same time it frustrates me.
I am taking about the trait I like to call let's see our mistake and forget about the other's.
The reasons I love this trait and it make me want to hug the two.
For starters it is something that I have never seen in a human. We all have tendency to see other's faults before our own. So Kaira show us how to look at our own faults, no matter how small they are, no matter if they are a reaction of what someone else did at first. This way if everyone just excepted their own art of the fault life would have been so much more simpler. Secondly I have always seen leads get off the hook super easily unless it is a parallel leads case where one pair is the goody two shoes and the other is the naughty one. So it is kind of nice to the leads being shown as humans who make mistake and actually realize that, only difference between Kaira and most people is those two accept their faults way too easily and way too much. Like be it Karthik when the truth about his mother's suicide was out, he was guilty for what he had done, guilty for blaming his father, he never once looked at Manish's fault of hiding the truth. Even during Naksh's time, Naksh had taken a wrong decision he had gotten married to somebody by lying that he liked her, Karthik being the girl's brother only reacted but at the end was Karthik's fault focused on more. Same this time Naira sees her part of the fault of not speaking to Karthik earlier.
The reasons why this trait frustrates me and make me want to throw a punch.
Other's who are at fault usually equal to or more than Kaira are made to look as if the had no much fault. I don't say they get a 100% off the hook but I do feel it is often overpowered by looking at Karthik's /Naira's part of the fault. Like if there be one scene showcasing the other people as wrong then two to three scenes showing Karthik / Naira are wrong. Like Manish himself had made a decision to hide the truth and then send Karthik to boarding, honestly even if I were Karthik's place I would feel that the affair thing is true, but at the end it was mainly about Karthik's guilt and his wrong. Naksh Kirti matter too, at the end Naksh was made the poor guy who realized his wrong and is being punished for no fault of his.
Once again Kaira speak about their faults, their mistake about not talking to each other about the matter, will this time the other person/people who have been wrong will get off the hook again. Cause in Dadi's monologue and Kaira room scene both there was a mention of Naira choosing friendship above other relations, have the creative's forgotten that when Naira gave her name for the abortion, she was Tina, who was the Tom boy the ladkon ka sarr phodne type ladki, so she wasn't a Singhania and till now no mention from her Rishikesh past shows that she was the slight bit romantic type, that meant she never thought about marriage and stuff, so she held no relation above another. Second time in front of Anubhav again only in his and Sakshi's presence did she say that lie so again it wasn't choosing anyone above because it was only between the three. Third time when Dadi asked her she wasn't given the chance to answer Anubhav and Sakshi answered for her, so again she didn't chooses anyone above, just to lessen Dadi's fault or to take her blame away don't forget what you have shown creatives.
I really love the way Kaira ponder over they part of the fault, it gives a very good message but that doesn't mean the other person should be let of the hook or there mistakes should be given excuses too, even when they are elders.
