Even in interviews i notice tv actors make a comment about refraining from tanning and all that bakwaas about fair skin. I mean really? A little bit of tan isn't going to do anything, so just concentrate on protecting your skin from the uv rays and not about getting a tan. geez.

I think they put that in to show what a newly wed girl has to put up with, how people seeing her for the first time will judge her by her looks etc. She was feeling uncomfortable to ask for medicine too and wanted someone to call Karthik. It's all realistic, and I like that. They will slowly show how Naira settles in to this new world.
