i agree with you...first of all sharya is the brother and not parent...he shouldnt interfere at all...there is nothing wrong in being a chef...my uncle is a chef and he has two restaurants now and is a millionarire and we have engineers in the family who are not making enough or even close money to him...did shaurya forgot that he is not even able to hold a job on his own and needs his family's business to keep him employed...he should be the last person talking because daddy is there to take care of him...every time they left everything on him he screwed up in business big time...anshu is not good or interested in math or science and he is smart enough to realize at a young age to use his strengths and likes as a career...it is his life and if his parents are fine then shaurya needs to mind his own business...and they have a hotel so anshu can just be the executive chef for that in th future and open more restaurants...

I completely agree with mariam and mini di and everyone who commented!

mariam, was reading ur post.. u mentioned something related too "society will not accept other career preferences."
Now these are my personal views, coz as i said, i m also fighting against everyone but my mom, and to certain extent dad, to chose a path i want to. All that i m saying now, is what i generally say to ppl who just dont get what i m trying to say.

brackets indicate my thoughts! i dont say them though

Scene: Some family function🤢
bua: beta, what have you decied to do after 12th
me: (thinking, for the 100th time) pharmacy and then mba.
foi: u have still not changed ur opinion😲
me: (its my goal, how can i change it?) no *trying to maintain a smile*
foi: i will not let u become a pharmacist. doctor is such a good field. you study for some years, and then maze ki life.
me: but i m not interested in mbbs!
foi: pharmacy is not a good option. anyone can do it. dont waste ur intelligence.
me: (enough is enough now.. cant take it longer.) foi, i m gonna do pharmacy. its decided. moms with me, and dad has said yes😳

Next day.. mom and me..
me: yesterday again foi started her bhashan🤢
mom: what again?😲 what did she say?
me: same old crap. dont want to spoil my mood after narrating the whole thing.
mom: its ok... ek kaan se sunke ek kaan se nikaal de.. we cant do anything else!

now, this is some excuse i get for not becoming a pharmacist. main thing.. this evil.. SOCIETY.

who is society? does the society come and help u when u need help? NO. what do they do? spread words against our families. til ka tahad, rai ka pahad. Then why are we considering them when it comes to our career choice? man is a social animal. if it wasnt coz of society, we would be dead. What are friends for then? urm, bas nuthing.. they are just to support u in the baddest of times.. they are just to rise u up when u fall.. arrey.. unka kaam hi kya hai.. they make u laugh, feel wanted, they lighten u up.. bas! they are just to make u live life... nuthing else🤣🤣

how dumb na! my point is.. theres nuthing wrong in any career u chose. YOU shud be happy. 20 years ahead of u... u shudnt blame the "society" for ur bad future! because they will say "u cud have opposed us" 🤣

I completely agree with you stuti. Even my daughter had the same problem while choosing her group. Both my daughter and my hubby had a heated argument and he wants her to choose physics as main (in Singapore you can choose any two science). Being a top student she argued with her father and finally my hubby gave up. I told my hubby nowadays students are more matured'and as Parents we always want our children the best and for this we have to be supportive and have to give her advice for their career.

But we should not have to force them for anything. It's my opinion as teacher I saw many parents who are facing so many problems 'as they are forcing their son/daughter to study without knowing their interest their love coz to saitify their relatives.

Parents know more as they have seen the world. They know more as they have seen life more whereas children know more about the latest trend. Parents should allow their child to follow his or her dream but if they know that the career which they are choosing won't be a bright future then they should not allow it. They can choose a substitute for it. It's my opinion sorry if iam wrong.

Parents can make war, but it is children who will make history.
So children need only a chance to gleam a hope to make a history, to make world a better sight... Even my daughter faces the same problems my hubby family being doctors forces her to become doctor. But being an understanding mother i never allow my daughter to taste the bitter medicine... it' her wish to choose her career.

I comp agree with you stuts and what answers you gave back yes you should be happy in the career path that you have chosen then listen to the society, you want to be a pharmacist which is really good go for your goal now take me for instance i never was into these science subjects i sucked at them in skool but still choose science in alevels lets say i fluked badly

then my parents told me to go in ict cause i was good at it but i found it boring just sitting in front of computer all day so i picked out a course which had sound, video and a bit of ict i love shooting video's editing them out making music and thats what i am gonna do in the future after my degree finishess my mum was with me my dad took some tym to understand 😆 thats my faliure study life story 🤢😆😆 lets hope anshu gets to be a chef lets roll his name for masterchef we can meet vikas in process
