I kinda liked his serial earlier, but now for me, personally, this one rocks! There are some true life situations which have been addressed in this serial...
1. Arranged marriages...this is still a huge reality in India and most of the stigmas/rules/ restrictions/apprehensions associated with it have been touched in this serial
2. Joint families..their joys n sorrows...trials and tribulations...though number of joint families have gone down, they still are the preferred choice in many families, be it bcoz of some daddaji type figure or financial reasons or just bcoz it is generally more fun if interference is minimised
3. Male ego Vs female ego...generally male ego is more dominant and females bow down to make peace and heaven forbid if females dont do that!!
4. Falling in love before marriage esp in India... though this has now gained a lot of acceptance, there is a lot of conflict and drama in most families before the acceptance stage, both in rural and urban india
5. Mother Vs Saas ... bcoz a mom's life revolves around her kids, even though she mite be a good person, when it comes to being a saas...being good/fair is still difficult... bahu is always someone who has brainwashed her darling son!
6.Mom's interference: bcoz of same reason as above, any mom, be it guy's or girl's, cannot let go of the kids when they grow up. They need to know everything...they need to still plan their kid (who may not be a kid anymore)'s life... a la both Gayatri and Rajshri...how easily i can identify so many moms i know with this!
7. Refusal to grow up by gen Y... i mite be wrong but gen W worked hard for Gen X who gave all luxuries possible to gen Y and now when this Gen Y is married off before giving it all a good thought, they just refuse to behave in a responsible way!Naitik a typical example!!Akshara too...though in a different way...
and the final situation which gets my 👍🏼....
8. In-Laws reasons and attitude towards a bahu n her family who was told by their own son to leave the house!!!!! instead of giving Naitik 2 tight slaps for daring to say such a thing and resolving the issue for what it was, they've interferred, interpretted it involving egos, made it bigger than original issue...result - a potential breakup. (y cudnt they deal with Mohini-Aksh's and Naksh's situations separately?) Hopefully, this wont happen in this serial , but in reality how many such breakups are happening nowadays?
Fathers like Vish are still around, but not many are as verbal as he is... not many can support daughters like he can..and then there still is a social stigma of a married girl sitting in her maayka...
I hope all inlaws (be it the girl's side or the guy's) watching this serial learn something frm it!!

wow
u have listed it all
basically i have nothing more to add
👏
but how do you overturn such a mindset? how do you make things work? sigh somehow, someone needs to change that mentality...and i suppose it starts by one person, if each of us change our mentality...gradually there will be a change.
or perhaps, i think that when it's our turn to get married, things may be a lot more different in the manner of the saas and stuff.
but one lesson, never get married to a mumma's boy :P

Realities you missed out...

1) This show brought out the apashagun's which turned out to be correct..
2) it shows to the world that not to get married as life is full of problems
3) life is hell after marriage
4) a loving person can behave uncultured and insult his wife
5) you loose complete freedom and independence after marriage
6) there is nothing else to do other than cooking , cleaning, servant work and taking care of uncultured husband and his family and for that you get left and right scolding
7) it shows bahu's has no place in their in law's life so better stay away from marriage
8) not to think about your own family after marriage, as you become your inlaws puppet

there are many other negativities too.. A foolish track and a crap story ..

Lathika, I guess I understand your POV...
Yes, the current track is a bit of a drag and boring, but since i personally identify with it, i kinda dont have probs with it. I still dont think all marriages are bad... and i really dont think thats the msg this serial is trying to convey. no one told me these things happen in marriages...that even in this age ppl like Naitik, Gayatri mom and Daddaji exist and i am struggling now... so i feel even if they gloss these situations and make them a bit dramatic, as long as they've raised the issues... created awareness...👍🏼
