I am confused what is the purpose of the letter?

When akshara is the one to tell him personally after so much stupid drama then what is the purpose of the letter? I think the letter track was kept only to make us more tensed and to stretch the serial for few more episodes.what say guys.

purpose of da LETTER was to make us MAD,,......n over here were thinking n predicting soo much regarding dat letter.....now Akshara shud open her drawer n give it to Gulabo to throw it in da dustbin.....khaamakhaa itna pareshan kiya sabko......

I think the letter is for completely erasing doubts in natik's mind. which i think is crap, if the guy can't c that much love in his wife's eyes i don't think a letter is gonna do nething (in reality anyway), for me it also shows that he doesn't trust her or her love for him( remember the pen guy, he always jumps to wrong conclusions) don't get me wrong i love the couple but natik's character keeps on getting on my nerves, Aksh has her work cut out for her to shape him up to be a great husband
