OK, does this guy think that he is a GOD and that he has bought Akshara or that she needs to be sub-servient to him.

being possessive is one thing, but then being unreasonable and psycho is another.

Shame on him. Seriously, in retrospect if a guy does this and he thinks about it later in his life, he would feel like killing himself for being so unreasonable to his wife during the wedding.

and think seriously about this, marriage is such a huge deal in one's life. Whats the point of taking pheras and VACHAN's when your mind is full of shitty thoughts?

How can he forgive himself for behaving like this and not even being able to enjoy such a great milestone of his life?

I must confess that I am a bit bemused by the fawning adulation over how Naitik deigned to spare Akshara a glance during the wedding ceremony (conveniently ignoring all the visible displeasure and uncertainty in every step of the occasion. If this is how a man in love behaves with his bethroted on the wedding day, in front of the whole community, than Akshara would have been better off marrying someone who doesn't love her but at least respect her enough not to put her in an awkward and painful situation on the greatest day of her life.

Naitik is consumed, not with the love of a beautiful woman, but with the demons of his own ego and self-centredness. I just cannot fathom how the creatives thought that it would be endearing for the viewers to show such a callous, egotistical, insensitive man-child as the leading man in a show which purports to be about relations and family values.

But unfortunately so many people think he is great. And don't see anything wrong!

As I have said before in the name of drama they have ruined the most joyous occasion of one's life.

I thought at least Akshara will enjoy the wedding after the blank sms fiasco, but then they got Rashmi to open her big mouth and say dada has been angry all day...pfft ...gone

she kept giving these sad and pleading looks...most terrible way to get married...

yup i agree that naitik is been wrong to akshi throughout this phere wala scene. but u didn't notice that after phere he was actually smiling at akshi when he told that poem so that means that things r actually getting better.

No offence, but don't you think that Naitik's general behaviour is very, very condencensing?

He comes across as nothing more than a MCP of the worst order! A man who has no respect for a woman's feelings, her emotions!

So what if he smiled at her during the phera's? Is he doing a favour on her?

Behaving like a boorish, chauvanistic brat rather than the responsible, mature and caring husband that his family hopes that he would be!

Really disappointed by the way his character has been shaping up lately!

PS : The admiration for Naitik is obvious from some quarters. Many girls (And women too) idolize and fawn over men who behave in a cave-man fashion (Mills and Boons anyone?) They obviously have no idea about the practicalities of living with such a monster and hence, the adoration of a good-looking, arrogant guy, who will 'change' when love comes into his life! Yeah, sure!😕😆

This outburst for Naitik is understandable but hum sabne kya kiya hai yaar? 😆 I agree..practicalities of life..the practicality of life will never let a girl to give her consent to marry such a guy.....i think all soaps on air (past or present) teach us how one should NOT be, what should NOT be done rather than the other way round.....we belong to today's generation..we know how to differentiate between good and bad (all of us who're married will know what i'm talking about) but the young minds don't...tht's why i complained to RS but he never listens to us...... in yrkkh, one can see the dominance of males ..be it daddaji or Shaurya or Vishambhar or Naitik...tht's how the story is knitted so can't really help...

i think love do change people's mind, their thinking. so when naitik will be seeing akshi's loyalty, her love and care for him then he will back once again. i mean he's not a monster or his character is not similar to ansh gujral from ksbkbt. and there's a hope from that letter too which akshi wrote him. so basically m thinking for the positive things to be cuming in naksh's life.

I completely agree with you! This is just a soap and one shoudln't get too worked up because of it! But the fact that we are getting so agitated over the characters shows how successful the show is!😃

Otherwise, I think YRKKH is one of the best shows on television! And I don't find it regressive at all (except sometimes) Its one of those very few shows that you can watch with your entire family, without cringing in embarassment! Plus, I just love the whole set-up, the colours, the music (I actually have all YRKKH songs on my Ipod!) and the actors are amongst the best I have seen in a long time!

Chalo, Naitikji ka baksh dete hain...but the fella better gear up his act!😆

PS : I saw Daddaji in a movie called Gulaal....he did not have a single dialouge, played one of the henchman!

PPS : Lolz, I wasn't thinking about you when I wrote about the swooning on Naitik brigade! I always find your posts to be very balanced and you critcize Munna the most of all!😆

😆 I know it wasn't directed at me...but i know the truth tht creatives cud have done a much better job here...I mean they shouldn't have shown Naitik behaving this way in the wedding..like he was pretending for his mom and his family, he cud have continued doing it for Akshara's family and Akshara...After the wedding, he cud have reacted in whichever way ........i know there can't be any explanation for his behavior.....Reality is very different from soaps......a serial should be taken as a serial...tht's why i have to come down to the level of yrkkh and then analyze..😊 OMG baksh diya Naitik ko? 😆 tht's an achievement for me...but yes..his smile does take away my thinking power
