It's time for the parivaar to come together, celebrate their hard work and to welcome new members who have joined the Star Plus parivaar recently.

It's time for the biggest television extravaganza in the country – the STAR Parivaar Awards 2009. And no celebration is complete without some naach-gaana. Even this event will have the family members putting up entertaining performances this year too.

We give you a sneak peek into the preparation that are on in full swing for the event. Karan Mehra, who plays Naitik in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, is sweating it out with his on-screen wife-to-be Akshara (Hina Khan). He says, "I have been rehearsing every day for nearly three hours."

The couple will probably face tough competition from Nach Baliye 4 winners, Shaleen Bhanot – Daljeet Kaur, who are confident that they'll create magic on the dance floor. Speaking about their act, they say, "We always try to do something different. This time we're doing a Taandav act. We've chosen Jai Ma Kaali."

Rani (Anjali Abrol) and Yudi (Kapil Nirmal) of Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat are having a great time at the reharsals. They say, "We rehearse and at the same time, we enjoy ourselves. We are dancing to three romantic songs."
But that's not all another telly couple – Ranbir (Kinshuk Mahajan) and Ragini (Parul Chauhan) of Sapna Babul Kaa... Bidaai are doing their best to manage their shoots and rehearsals. Ranbir says, "Our fatigue disappears when we see our choreographers. I'm also going to the gym to be fit."
