I voted for both, now how they have it is their problem, litti with sambar and idli with chokha not my problem :D

Litti chokha-

Litti - like a bati..only stuffed..from Sattu.

Stuffing- consists of Sattu which is flour made from roasted whole chana. Ingredients- Finely chopped onions, minced ginger- garlic, chopped green chilies, lime juice, ajwain and kalunji, coriander leaves- all mixed in the Sattu for the stuffing.

The dough is made from Maida or whole wheat flour.

U roll out small puri size or smaller dough, stuff it with the Sattu..seal it and either bake it ( on coal) or deep fry it! Once baked u crack it open pour ghee on it and eat it with the chokha!

Chokha- is bharta..usually the one eaten with litti is baigan chokha..or baigan bharta.

Chokha can also be made from mashed potatoes!

Commonly eaten in Bihar...also in UP.

In YPNTKH, litti chokha - was made during Prabhakar's birthday celebration !
