I compared the other pics and this one, just to be sure.. yes, this is an extra around her neck.. not there in other pics.. definitely mangalsutra (ofcourse it looks like 1 but after the popats wanted to be doubly sure ke pehle se pehena hua necklace toh nahi?)

Meher.,.. nahi re.. mangal sutra hi hai..

Check this out for a typical telugu mangal sutra.. its usually a haldi waala thread.. yellow thread with the golden pendants (for the lack of a better word.. which symbolizes the family gods)
