KK- The Lonely Walk.

(Dedicated to KK and everyone in the team who makes KK what he is.)

We dreamed a dream together,

Set out to fly a kite.

Our eyes filled with amazement,

At how high we could fly!

Now, the dream remains...

The kite readies to fly again,

For even if only one of us remain,

The show must go on, they say.

Stepping into a new playground,

The sky stretched out vast and desolate.

The kite and the flyer readied,

The cheers are nothing but emptiness.

I walked this walk with you, my friend.

Thrusting into this last leg,

I dare not look behind,

For I know you wouldn't be there.

Ambushed, aching...

I falter on.

Agility in my gait,

Crawling on...

The roaring crowd can't shut you down,

The racing heart would keep looking for you.

For it was a promise made,

I need only look behind, to find you.

Memories to fill a life time,

A friend to always count on,

And now I remain, in this longest stretch,

It is a lonely walk without you.

I love KK! ā¤ļø

And I love the writers of this show.šŸ¤—

At the time of Prabhakar's demise, the person I felt most strongly for, was KK. I truly felt his loss was the greatest. Sidhanth had his family and Anushka. Gayatri had her children. Purva had her family and her friends. KK- No one understood how deep his grief runs.

I have loved every bit of KK's response from the time Prabhakar left him. He crumbled when he realised Prabhakar was gone. He had to pull himself together. He found a spot in the garden to let it sink in, as he viewed the activities around him. Strangely, I think Goyal was the one who understood what losing Prabhakar meant to KK. I guess the rest of his Shark friends got it too, because they have seen him stand up for Prabhakar in the most strenuous circumstances. Nita doesn't understand it because she always saw it as Prabhakar eating into KK's time with his family. Sidhanth doesn't have a clue either, when he rubbishes the loyalty line. I have even written once whether Prabhakar himself knew. He wouldn't have. If he had, he would have known KK would never overstep the promise made to him as a friend and was somehow bullied into making the Airline decision.

Over the episodes that followed, we have seen how KK silently mourns his friend. He showed it to the world, when he announced the next generation of Reddys and at the time of book launch. There are references in his conversations with his business partners and even to Sdhanth.Prabhakar came up twice in his conversation yesterday. First, he applauded Sidhanth and saw Prabhakar in him and even went to the extent of mentioning no one could fill in for his friend, but his son himself. Unfortunately, whenever KK pays a tribute to his friend, Sid finds it as opportunism, because that is how he has read the equation all his life...

Later in the evening, KK mentioned his friend again, this time for his son to find an opportunity, duplicating a relationship. Being a man of few words, KK doesn't verbalise his thoughts and feelings well. To an outsider, it would seem like KK gave his son an impassive advice on how to conduct his business. In truth, he was telling Kartik to not land Sidhanth in a spot where he would have to come to him directly. It was an advice on how he had to treat his subordinates, since that is how he had come to respect and admire his friend too. Kartik seems to have just taken the substance, ignoring the spirit. He finds it suits him best to deal with Sidhanth in a friendly manner. In fact, that seems the most productive and easy way to tackling and subjugating a clever mind that could do wonders for him in his business future. What remains to be seen is, how far Kartik will go in his quest to keep Sid around him and whether charming Purva and keeping her around him would be the easiest and most sure-shot way of ensuring her brother is kept tied to the Reddys. That ,and the implications of that possible move on the Sidushka story could make way for plenty of discussion.

For now, I salute the writers for this character named KK, for assimilating the vitality of Prabhakar Sinha in him, still showing us glimpses of the spirit! ... and the actor himself for the excellent portrayal!šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

When KK walked out into the night for a lonely walk, one could almost see the ghost of Prabhakar following him.

Thanks.

KK is far from perfect, but his loss and sadness is quite palpable. I feel the actor has done a terrific job, portraying the sensitive side to a boisterous character. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

Beautiful dedication. The character and the actor both are deserving of all the appreciation. I was almost not going to watch this show as I didn't know it was from Mr Jha. Then I read your Pyaar toh hona hi tha post and started to watch. I wonder given proper chance ITV could produce wonder.
Manish Choudhry is best choice for the role and KK will be remembered for long.

KK is one character written with such detailing and precisions, kudos to the writers and actor Manish ji āļø and Love KK !! I was waiting for someone to make a post on KK and your's is brilliant!!

Very true about KK, he is indeed a lone soul after Prabhakar's death ...be it in terms of looking around for his friend to help him with his hindi words or the loneliness when he looked on his either side in excitement, joy or stress or sadness , he missed a friend ...because no one ever can understand someone like KK, even Prabhakar to an extent misunderstood him, when he thought KK promised him and betrayed him ... when the resignation letter comes out KK would be shattered ...as it was signed by his friend, that KK broke his trust and this breaks KK... šŸ’”

When Prabhakar was alive he said Sid is like me, sid is like KK, even yesterday with Nanda he says the same, today he said KK is like Prabhakar ...though these are conflicting, he clearly meant when it comes to loyalty and dedication , Sid is like Prabhakar and when it meant to achieving anything or being successful Sid is like KK... but Sid strikes off the loyalty bit as he thought loyalty means letting someone run over you !! but KK found Prabhakar in Sid which is why he tells Karthik never to lose someone like Sid and he told him in the language he understands ... business!

The evening walk revealed a lot about KK, there are many reasons why a person can be a successful businessman , the calm, composed, clear mind makes you think more clearly ... he never ever got agitated or stressed or impolite to anyone ... the little guru gyan he gave Karthik about Sid gives and insight into KK's mind ..

Yday Sid said he poured paani by apologizing on the aag in Karthik, when he confronted as a boss, today with KK's gyan Karthik used the same "apology" to take over Sid as a "friend" Sid and Karthik however they are now or in future with newfound forced friendship their dynamics will NOT be anything like what KK and Prabhakar had, however we can decipher so many things from that little gyan which KK gave Karthik...but the bottom line is this will only help and aide their business , by giving that little gyan to Karthik, he assured Karthik, that he will guide him and be on his side and give him such advices to make him successful ... earlier he assured Sid that they two will work together (him and sid) and be prepared for the next year election results...

Beautiful post... Soup I agree with everything you have written here..
Paucity of time stops me from writing much more..

Would like to just mention this... KK comparison of Sid with Prabhakar vis a vis himself is another facet of KK.. He wants to understand how much of himself is in Sid and how much of his dear old friend..His remarks often point to that..

@ Bold- Perfectly described! šŸ‘
I love your entire comment.
I sincerely hope KK never reads that resignation letter. I hope Sid or Gayatri keeps it away from him as an act of kindness or a show of hostility. Whichever be it, I hope he is spared. That shouldn't be the last thing his friend said to him.

I loved what you wrote on Sid and Kartik too. There is something very sweet about KK mentoring the friendship between his son and his best friend's son...Both are too arrogant to tolerate each other, in fact. šŸ˜† Yes, this was tit for tat and if Kartik used the same tactic Sid used on him, he is at least on the same page as Sid! šŸ˜› They make a wonderful duo and if the story could explore them further, it would be great. I do hope it comes out somewhere...because if they add Purva to the equation, and considering both the brothers are devoted to their sisters, that is something they have in common too...May be they would find they have many more things in common...
Must say I loved the turn they took with Kartik's rejoinder! šŸ‘

Thanks, Rekh.
I did think of you when I wrote it, since we had mentioned how the friendship would reflect on the love story. It was something very dear and I feel it will still have its influence on the developments in the story.

KK trying to decode Sid is like him trying to solve a puzzle Prabhakar left him with. šŸ˜†

I did mention somewhere earlier that when he finally understands Sid is exactly as Prabhakar read him- KK on the surface and Prabhakar's Sidhanth underneath- That will be the day KK rejoices his friend won the bet and also the day Sidhanth realises why his father named him so.
They have a tight grip on the story and I hope they don't lose it.
