KK- The Lonely Walk.
(Dedicated to KK and everyone in the team who makes KK what he is.)
We dreamed a dream together,
Set out to fly a kite.
Our eyes filled with amazement,
At how high we could fly!
Now, the dream remains...
The kite readies to fly again,
For even if only one of us remain,
The show must go on, they say.
Stepping into a new playground,
The sky stretched out vast and desolate.
The kite and the flyer readied,
The cheers are nothing but emptiness.
I walked this walk with you, my friend.
Thrusting into this last leg,
I dare not look behind,
For I know you wouldn't be there.
Ambushed, aching...
I falter on.
Agility in my gait,
Crawling on...
The roaring crowd can't shut you down,
The racing heart would keep looking for you.
For it was a promise made,
I need only look behind, to find you.
Memories to fill a life time,
A friend to always count on,
And now I remain, in this longest stretch,
It is a lonely walk without you.

I love KK! ā¤ļø
And I love the writers of this show.š¤
At the time of Prabhakar's demise, the person I felt most strongly for, was KK. I truly felt his loss was the greatest. Sidhanth had his family and Anushka. Gayatri had her children. Purva had her family and her friends. KK- No one understood how deep his grief runs.
I have loved every bit of KK's response from the time Prabhakar left him. He crumbled when he realised Prabhakar was gone. He had to pull himself together. He found a spot in the garden to let it sink in, as he viewed the activities around him. Strangely, I think Goyal was the one who understood what losing Prabhakar meant to KK. I guess the rest of his Shark friends got it too, because they have seen him stand up for Prabhakar in the most strenuous circumstances. Nita doesn't understand it because she always saw it as Prabhakar eating into KK's time with his family. Sidhanth doesn't have a clue either, when he rubbishes the loyalty line. I have even written once whether Prabhakar himself knew. He wouldn't have. If he had, he would have known KK would never overstep the promise made to him as a friend and was somehow bullied into making the Airline decision.
Over the episodes that followed, we have seen how KK silently mourns his friend. He showed it to the world, when he announced the next generation of Reddys and at the time of book launch. There are references in his conversations with his business partners and even to Sdhanth.Prabhakar came up twice in his conversation yesterday. First, he applauded Sidhanth and saw Prabhakar in him and even went to the extent of mentioning no one could fill in for his friend, but his son himself. Unfortunately, whenever KK pays a tribute to his friend, Sid finds it as opportunism, because that is how he has read the equation all his life...
Later in the evening, KK mentioned his friend again, this time for his son to find an opportunity, duplicating a relationship. Being a man of few words, KK doesn't verbalise his thoughts and feelings well. To an outsider, it would seem like KK gave his son an impassive advice on how to conduct his business. In truth, he was telling Kartik to not land Sidhanth in a spot where he would have to come to him directly. It was an advice on how he had to treat his subordinates, since that is how he had come to respect and admire his friend too. Kartik seems to have just taken the substance, ignoring the spirit. He finds it suits him best to deal with Sidhanth in a friendly manner. In fact, that seems the most productive and easy way to tackling and subjugating a clever mind that could do wonders for him in his business future. What remains to be seen is, how far Kartik will go in his quest to keep Sid around him and whether charming Purva and keeping her around him would be the easiest and most sure-shot way of ensuring her brother is kept tied to the Reddys. That ,and the implications of that possible move on the Sidushka story could make way for plenty of discussion.
For now, I salute the writers for this character named KK, for assimilating the vitality of Prabhakar Sinha in him, still showing us glimpses of the spirit! ... and the actor himself for the excellent portrayal!ššš
When KK walked out into the night for a lonely walk, one could almost see the ghost of Prabhakar following him.
