We start with Kartik crying about Prabhakar once again, and SIdhanth is seen entering Sri's cabin. Sidhanth lets Sri know that there are some issues and that once he was time they can discuss the matter. Sidhanth stares Kartik down as he leaves, but Kartik will not shut up about how the Sinhas will sink the Reddys.
Pata nayi kis nashe ko leke dooba hai yeh aadmi, he's fast getting on my nerves. Sidhanth waits for Sri but Anu is the one to approach him. She asks him what he's doing and Sidhanth says he's waiting for his father to come into work, hence why he's sitting outside his cabin. Prabhakar walks in and Sidhanth tells him he'd like to speak to him for a moment. Anu walks right in as well ๐. Sidhanth asks why Prabhakar will be a part of the inquiry but Papa Sinha doesn't seem worried. Sidhanth says he's a lawyer and knows that anything his father says will be twisted. Prabhakar is adamant that the one good thing about the truth is that there's no way to distort it. Prabhakar tells Sidhanth he shouldn't fret as he needs to be there for Gayatri and before leaving Sidhanth tells Prabhakar that if he needs anything he's there. Sid is handed masala chai by the server and we know Anu was the one to order it for him. He teases that he's being bribed while his father is being trapped ๐
Regardless, Sidhanth thanks Anushka not only for the security check and the chai, a thank you that she's been waiting for for a while. She smiles and it is the most genuine smile she's given us til date. KK is shown with Nita and Kartik. Kartik argues that Prabhakar has told him not to speak in the inquiry and Kartik gets annoyed. KK tells him to listen to Prabhakar, and that even if Kartik says the right answer, Prabhakar will always have the better answer. Kartik complains to his mother L M AO and Nita takes KK's side, saying that Prabhakar knows when and how to speak.
Sidhanth is seen thinking about Anu when he runs into Purva on the street, eating pani puri. Sidhanth says he'll drop her home but Purva lets him know she'll come with her friend, a guy. Sidhanth is incessant and tells Purva's friend to pay for the food LOL. Kya baat hai ๐ Sidhanth tells Purva that he knows these boys well, and that she shouldn't depend on others so he'll get her the scooty she wants. Purva is still very mad and tells him she doesn't want to speak to him, Gayatri asks her why she's coming in late and Purva yells that no one says anything to papa or Sid, so why her? Ahaha I love these small relatable family moments. So well done, and very much a part of everyone's lives. It's nice to be able to say, wow we do that, when wtching a show.
Anu is seen feeding her little fishes, and remembers Sidhanth teasing her and smiles once again. Kinn kinn khayalon main khoyi ho Anu? ๐ She keeps remembering his thank you and can't help but smile. She looks up his profile on facebook and goes through his pictures, a typical schoolgirl crush moment. SO well done. She can't help but be enamoured or infatuated. Anu claims that she's missed so much and that Sidhanth doesn't know of what she's been up to either all these years. She comes across a picture of Sid and starts laughing. She is interrupted with her daily coffee but remembers Sid's masala chai, and asks Rao ji for a masala chai instead. He seems surprised and Anu claims she just wants to try something new.
Purva, Sid and Gayatri are eating and Prabhakar is in his room from a headache. Purva is making a lot of noise while eating and Gayatri rebukes her by saying she's being too loud and Prabhakar has a headache. Purva yells that she'll eat in her room if she's too loud, and has a moment of small rebellion. She walks away from the table with her food as both Sid and Gayatri seemed shocked at her hard behaviour. I wonder where they're going with this plotline? Will this unfold into a larger worrying plot? Purva seems to have a really good head on her shoulders but every young woman at a certain point does begin to feel suffocated, even if its over small moments. I just hope this doesn't tie into the Kartik plotline as many of us had initially pointed out.
Sidhanth gets a call from a frantic Sweety Ji who tells Sidhanth to immediately check the links he's sent. Sid, confused, asks him what's happening and Sweety Ji explains that Prabhakar is being framed for the airlilne crash. Sid looks over the links furiously and immediately leaves to go to Prabhakar. Sidhanth asks him if he's really unwell, Prabhakar says no just some body aches. Sidhanth asks if he can help him by massaging and tells Prabhakar to have his chocolates ready. Prabhakar asks him why he's been remembering so many things from his childhood and Sidhanth replies that there are many things hidden from his childhood that have been resurfacing. Sidhanth asks if Prabhakar is aware of Goyals statement and Prabhakar doesn't seem too worried, but he can sense Sid's anxiety about the situation.
Prabhakar tells Sidhanth that Gayatri and Purva will be his responsibility now, and to speak to Purva in a way that is soft and kind but full of understanding. Sidhanth tells Prabhakar that he's not too old now, he still has so much work to do. This is such a poignant and beautiful moment. As children we never want to see our parents grow old, and refuse to believe in that possibility. Sidhanth's urgency in 'aap abhi buddhe nahi hue' is exactly how I feel when I see my own aging parents. The older they get, the more the fear of losing them settles in. And Sidhanth will never lose his father, it's something you can hear and see from him. He is so soft, such a young boy, around Prabhakar. Wanting his father's approval, worrying to no end about him, smiling the biggest smile from even a token of his father's affection. This young man would be lost without his father and it's so evident. Namik plays Sidhanth's yearning for his father so well. Prabhakar tells Sidhanth to come with him to the inquiry as he would like him there, and both Prabhakar and Sidhanth share a smile. WOW my soft Sinhas. This was probably the best scene in the entire episode. The cracks of their relationship have begun to heal and fold over, their relationship has truly evolved since the very first episode. But it has felt natural and progressed appropriately. There are still points of tension of contingency, but the larger relationship they share is so much softer and they are both realizing what the other needs from them. Prabhakar is starting to see that Sid needs his approval and respect and love, and Sid can see that his father needs him as his pillar of support. I'm so in love with this relationship and I appreciate the brilliantly complex and human nuances that writers have managed to capture with Sidhanth and Prabhakar. Fathers and sons, at times so alike that seeing the faults in the other means seeing the faults in themselves. But ultimately guiding, patient and full of wanting the best for the other. Sidhanth and Prabhakar's chemistry really sells this relationship, all their interactions are incredibly natural.
Purva is seen eating in her room and Sid peers in smiling at her. She asks him 'kya hai' and SId apologizes. Purva tells him what colour and model she wants, and he says of course. My kids. Sometimes it really is that easy with brothers and sisters isn't it ๐
Prabhakar comes to the inquiry and lets Sid know to wait as he can't come with him completely. KK calls Prabhakar and tells him not to worry. Anu and Kartik show up and Sid locks eyes with a nervously smiling Anu, who very obviously adjusts her outfit under his gaze. Subtle Anu, real subtle ๐
Goyal walks out and Prabhakar apologizes for the crash but tells him that he shouldn't have made such a rash comment. Goyal tells Prabhakar that he and KK deserve what's coming and steps right into Prabhakar's space, but Sidhanth walks right in blocking Goyal. Sid stands between Goyal and Prabhakar, becoming his father's wall of protection. Not gonna lie the look Sidhanth gives Goyal here and the way he stands, so firm and righteous, WOW sexy ๐. MY BOY ๐ณ๐ I love, love, love this man. What a man, what a brother and what a son.
Precap - Anu asks Sidhanth if he has a gf as Purva had mentioned it in passing. And Sid's cheeky self asks her which one does she want to meet? To which Anu looks on in agitation and goes 'matlab'? Anu don't put all the balls in his court, Sid knows you better than you know yourself. ๐ I wonder how long it's gonna take us to see Sid the man in love ๐
PS I know I've been MIA and I do apologize as I had final papers to write. But enjoy the post!
