😆Sidhanth and Sweety Ji are something else together on screen 😆 Aap kasam na khilao, paranthe khilao! Sidhanth falling into Sweety Ji's little hug just wha! Their scenes are so well done and wonderful. They feed off each other's energies on screen and naturally bring out a different dynamic and emotional depth to Sidhanth's character. Sidhanth is so carefree around Sweety Ji, he loves teasing him and loves being teased right back! I love it.
Sidhanth isn't afraid to live his life and love it. He is moody and broody and all the archetypes of some MLs, but he smiles and laughs in abundance and he has such a mischievous sense of humour that he comes off as incredibly charming.
What will we do for 12 hours asks Sweety Ji? An impromptu road trip is Sid's idea! All the while Anushka is seen pacing back and forth, haalat toh inke bhi theek nahin hai bhai😆
We find Sidhanth and Sweety Ji at a small location surrounded by folk dancers and light music. Sidhanth claims his kismat is so bad because "Itna romantic setup aur ek jawaan launda" and what's not in sight is a beautiful girl. Here, bechare Sweety Ji, tells Sidhanth to put a sock in it because unlike Sid, Sweety Ji has a wife waiting at home and has to deal with Sidhanth. This man has the patience of a saint, truly!😆
At the mention of Anushka's name SIdhanth's colour changes. His eyes widen, his skin flushes and his heart visibly begins to pound. He loses himself in the thought of her, as she continuously tries to call him. Anushka rani begins to google OD affects of cocaine and starts to worsen her own thoughts 😆. Didn't anyone ever tell you Anu, google only says two things 1) cancer or 2) straight death😆
This leads to a FB of Sidhanth helping a child's bike chain and hurts himself. Anushka starts crying at Sidhanth's zakhm, when he tells her that you shouldn't be so soft that everything in the world hurts you. The contrast here is if Anushka could cry at the sight of Sidhanth's small blood then his possible OD now would be an impossible thing for her to reconcile with. She is nervous and jittery, and consumed by thoughts of him. Anushka won't rest until she's seen him with her own two eyes, healthy and safe.
Sidhanth then brings a moment of self-disclosure into his conversation with Sweety Ji. Dosti hai nahi, thi. Aur woh bhi sirf humari taraf se. He claims that she was embarrassed by him in public, but wanted him to be her friend in private. Oh BOY. He goes on a rant about how she never cared and how all her concerns for him were falsified. That she used him. That she needs to see he is beyond what she thinks and is able to do whatever he puts his mind to.
Sweety Ji is so perceptive, he bluntly tells Sidhanth that Sid won this case to show Anushka who he is. Not because of his own ambitions. 👏 Sidhanth is rattled by this prospect, seemingly uncomfortable to link his own motivations with Anushka. It's funny because I think what Sidhanth wants to show most of all is how indifferent he is to Anushka's presence in his life again, but everything he says and does around her continues to very obviously prove elsewise. He taunts her, he continues to speak to her, her continues to protect her, challenge her. He puts on this fake nonchalant facade, but he is so affected by her he can't even think straight. He goes out of his way to prove himself to her? Why? Because he wants to show her, after all these years, what he's capabale of. Because what she thinks of him matters, whether he likes it or not.
Prabhakar learns that Sidhanth is responsible for Srikanth's win and when he goes to look for him, doesn't seem to find a trace of his son. Upon asking Gayatri, he finds Sidhanth had gone out to party but he is still apprehensive that Sidhanth isn't home. Papa Sinha ki anxiety bhi valid hai. He has every reason to be concerned, especially if Sidhanth is 'partying' with Sri.
Anushka shows up savere savere at the Sinha house. She gets out and thinks 'what will I ask?' then quickly gets back in the car, then thinks again and gets out of the car. The indecisiveness is played so well 😆 She claims to want to congratulate Sidhanth for winning but even as she's speaking, her eyes search for him throughout the house but to no avail. As she's leaving Sidhanth rolls in, studly as ever. Sidhanth's mouth drops in shock and Anushka's eyes look terrified at seeing him stroll in. He is before her eyes, walking straight, looking fine and she swings between relief and disbelief and frustration.
They stop before each other and Sidhanth's teasing begins. She refuses to indulge him and goes strait to yelling 'kahaan the!'. Sidhanth tells her he was out having a good time but that he was "Sorry I forgot to invite you like you used to forget to invite me." My god the hurt runs deep. Every conversation with her turns into a direct defense attack. He can't help but fester in the feelings that he's kept simmering under the surface for the past seven years, and neither can Anushka.
Anushka's questions, the prodding, the yelling, brings a smile to Sidhanth's face. He thrives off her concern and attention. What a fool 😆 He is hurt, but the thought of not being around her isn't even an option. For now it's wanting to prove something to her and perhaps to himself, but when will he learn that the reason he can't stay away runs so much deeper than he thinks. You care but you run away. You protect her but you want her to feel the same emotional turmoil you've felt for years. You smile because she cares but are annoyed at the same. it's such a push and pull tug between them. Can't live with each other, and very obviously can't live without each other.
It's very obvious that whatever equation they have going right now, the half bitter and half soft, is for a lack of a better word, addicting.
The infamous scene we've been waiting for arrives and when Sidhanth asks 'kiska haq hai humari jaan pe', Anushka tells him that if he understood the answer to his question he would not have done what he did. All this while we've seen how low Anushka's faith runs in Sidhanth, but here we see how little of Anushka Sidhanth truly sees of her. He tells her the only thing she's capable of, is ratting him out, nothing else. They seem to be on the same page with each other and it's very clealry shown. There is concern but the hesitance to show it, and there is something deeper between them but both are afraid to approach it.
Anushka leaves and Sidhanth enters to his sister's teasing. He and his sister share such a fun equation. Where with Sweety Ji Sidhanth is truly carefree, with his sister he is mischievous but protective. Sidhanth is a very dynamic character and I love that they've taken the time to flesh him out as such.
We see the Reddys getting ready (😆) for their party! KK claims that the party is not just a party but is also an announcement that the next generation of his family is now ready to take over his dreams, and help him in becoming the richest and biggest business man in India. This man's ambitions run far and deep. It's interesting to see how that contrasts with Sidhanth's own ambitions. They are both men who want the world, but both want it in very different ways. And how they want it, is the bigger contrast. KK it seems will have it by hook or crook, but how will Sidhanth fare with the same?
Sidhanth finds himself getting ready for the party and he momentarily remembers Anu's yelling, and makes such a funny cringe face 😆 Accha bhai pehle toh uske peeche bhaag rahe the, ab joh woh khud chal kar aayi hai toh itna darr? 😆 Sidhanth's demeanour changes when his father comes upon him as they both get ready for the party. Prabhakar asks Sidhanth how he won and Sidhanth claims his father's never shown interest like that before. Prabhakar is so shrewd and perceptive, there's no way he's letting his son off the hook that easy, especially because he knows exactly who and what the Reddys are.
KK so aware of Prabhakar's habits, tells him to bring the entire family and not just himself. Sidhanth lights up like a Christmas tree and continues to get ready in joy. Nothing stops this man does it. His little quip when he goes 'Uff Mahadev kissi ko bhi itna handsome na banaye' I died 😆 I love Sidhanth. He's so much 😆
Precap - Anushka shows up beautiful as ever and Sidhanth can't seem to take his eyes off of her. And then as Sri goes to grab his hand, Sidhanth's drama king butt says 'ow' loud enough for Anushka to hear. When Sri asks what's wrong Sidhanth says 'pyar main dokha khaya tha, kal raat suicide karni ki koshish ki' while looking STRAIGHT at Anu. Arre bhai, ab yeh kya nautanki hai Sidhanth 😆 Tohra sa toh chill karlo please 😆😆
