Starting todays post for a mindblowing and delicious episode with this wonderful quote about how two people can be so right for each other, even though the world sees flaws in their relationship.The very thing that Mukhi considers a flaw in him, is the aspect of him that Aru has come to love.
Let me take a deep breath and congratulate Team Moh Moh, take a bow. What a performance and execution today.!!!⭐️👏 The graph between the leads moved, and moved so high. Totally unexpected. And I am glad though the fire and water splash sequence was marketed so heavily, the scene inside of the bamboos was kept a surprise. Thank God. I was skeptical that the fire sequence may turn out to be tai tai phish. But what a pleasant surprise!
The healing kiss of love on her aching feet, the need to hold her hand, reassure her and calm their tumultuous hearts in the backdrop of danger lurking, the almost kiss a balm to their longing, the need to "Connect" was so real, raw and impossible to deny. It was very beautifully and aesthetically picturised . His need to hug and soothe her injured feet with his face was such a tender moment of caring,very poignant, only a man totally in love of the woman can do that. Hardly have seen that in TV shows .
I saw another alternate story in story in this scene. A revelation, a symbolism of sorts. He stays at her feet, trying to heal her..his tenderness brings tears to her eyes. Then he reaches out to hold her hand..offer of support and equality..a handshake of sorts. And then SHE makes the move and levels her head with him, making them equals. What I saw in this, is Mukhi considers himself inferior to her. He doesn't think he levels with her. But he loves and cares, downplaying himself , tries to soothe her. He also offers his hand in support and assurance knowing that she needs that from him, and so does he, to survive. And its Aru who will then move herself and make them equal, level with him. That too, they are in on opposite sides even when heads are together!! Symbolism..they both will never be citibirds together, they both will never be village couple together. They will have to meet in the middle..and Aru will have to make the move for that, after she is reassured by his supporting hand.
It maybe or may not be the directors intent. But that's what I saw in the placement of the scene. Brilliant execution!!
Usually when I make posts, I easily zero in on the most touching or annoying part of the episode and start writing. Today it was very very hard to begin, because every scene was brilliant.
I also liked Anshul and his bunch of idiots .Whatever they did , they brought ArMu close!! I am putting my head aside and not questioning the pathetic kidnap , burn hut and goons run around scenes,I found them comic really. Akhon mein dhul jhokke bhaag gaye?? Right in front of their eyes 😆
So I just began with the most symbolic and surprise package scene of all.
Starting from the start- There were too many wonders today! ArMu had a conversation..yes, a real man-woman one, like they communicated!! I guess the danger around them made them more communicative.Also the fact that he came for her made her fears go away. She told him she was not as hurt by the ropes as she was by seeing Saanvi with Mukhi. She communicated her jealousy and pain, directly to him. He clarified himself and assured her that there was nothing between him and Saanvi. Here, she is acting like a wife , he is acting like a loving husband who needed to clarify himself. Here Mukhi has accepted completely that Aru loves him and has a right to ask for that reason. And again like a loving wife, Aru asks for forgiveness for her misunderstanding, he forgives and voila. Thank you Thank you thank you. It was a much needed "talk. Now whatever the issue is with Saanvi and her baby, ArMu will solve it together hopefully.
Then during the fire, she panics. She panicked at the first fire too in Amboli, and could not move until he assured her. Today too the same happened..she panics..he stops her blabbering , asks her if she trusts him. More than herself she says, and there in a minute, she is strong again.
Then in an instant later, he gives up on both of them being able to go. ( I did not clearly understand why that is .) But he tells her to go by herself , he will lift her she can run to safety. Here he proclaims very clearly that he can die to keep her safe. Mukhiji- hats off.!! If he has to choose between one of them he will always choose Aru's life , Aru's happiness. And all this happened in front of Aru today, not behind her back. So she knows.
Aru does not budge. Not an inch. Fights him back. and refuses to leave him.and in a moment of inner strength decides that either both stay or both die..but they will not die..she finds that resolve for both of them. And for the first time she holds his hand to lend him support.Nothing will happen to us. He is surprised, but energized by her optimism and they both jump, and make it.Alive.
Loved the alternate pattern of each giving strength to the other , when the other gives up. Its also the first time Aru has given an indication that she will bring strength to their relationship. He can die for her but she won't let him, she will make sure they both survive. Wah kya pyar hai! Good going Aru!
Diary scene: My angst regarding the bad execution of the diary scene was wiped away today to a great extent. My issue was that though we all know as viewers that he has fallen for her and loves her, he never uttered " pyar" or "pasand" from his mouth. And his first pasand came for the dairy girl..as per the makers execution.
But completely forgiving that today, because the makers gave us more than what we expected in the dairy scene today. He brings it up, that she seems to be so different from the dairy..he is actually wondering why he never connected the dots . Her answer is not just an answer, it will be a path for him in the future. She explains, in a her simple but deep ways that we are not the same always. We go through many emotions. And when emotions run deep and heart doesn't get what it wants, the feelings are better expressed on paper. She just answered a top most question in our heads..why these two personalities come up differently in Mukhi's mind. She teaches him indirectly that he was only seeing two different aspects to her...and things that she cannot bring herself to say, she writes.
Thank you CVs...here you proved to me that Mukhi thinks he knows Aru but he is yet to know her completely..he realizes there is so much more to her. And he respects Aru much more due to her being the diary girl. So it was respect all along for the diary and love for Aru. But, he banters with her, Bak Bak and chides her...loved it, Eijaz nailed this scene for me...the way he teases her and reduces the seriousness of the situation between them. We were waiting for that lighheartedness to come back between ArMu, its back today. After she holds on to him, does not let him go, cleans his wound, he does not want to let her go, holds her hand, then stops himself, steps back into his self created boundary..the whole nine yards of nuances was done so well by Eijaz .
Niyati has become very good at showing two different sides of Aru..the childish cute bantering one, and the one totally in love with Mukhi, with almost Meera like devotion and belonging to her Mukhi. Loving they way she is portraying it.We do not carry our mature self everywhere...after a certain time we allow ourselves to be silly and stupid with loves ones, where we do not have to gaurd ourselves. She handed him a very sensible advice regarding how we feel differently and how we express. IMHO, Mukhi might very much use that advice, and though he will hold back his feelings from Aru, he will spill them on into his very own DIARY. I see that coming, that the Mukhi who does not express much to Aru, will keep doing things for her in the backdrop while spilling his feelings into a diary including his declaration of love for her, as she advised today. Aru's diary starts with " Papa ke sapne".
Mukhi's diary will start with " Mhari Aru ke Sapne". Lets see !!
Aru tried to express her love and Mukhi tried to stop her, and chides her with her bak bak. I do not mind that he tried to stop her today. Because today in all his actions , right from start to finish he proved to her that he loved her above himself. That he considered Saanvi a third person outside of them couple. That he will always respond when she calls him , stops him or needs him. He went to the extent of saving her some embarrasment in front of her family and stepping in to answer for her. He gladly took up the image of the doting husband of a Chanchal girl to keep her family at ease.
The only thing he needs to do now is say it from his mouth.And I am not in a hurry for it. He will not do so easily. His character and principles will not let him take advantage of her feelings. Lets see how he comes around to accepting his truth to her. Hopefully Aru realizes that too and does not push him for a equal response to her confession. Him being there always for her is a much more bigger truth than few words from his mouth.
Today's episode was like eating your favourite dessert made by your mom and relishing it to the last bite..leaves you happy for the day :)
