Hi Tweeg,

They explained in an earlier YMMDK episode that "gaurani" is the term used for the (usually older) ladies in Gujurati villages who help to arrange marriages/introduce people.

So, since Aru was the matchmaking agent sent to help Mukhi find a bride, he calls her Gaurani.

You are correct ...

In the initial episodes where Mukhi was in Ahmedabad .. Aru got irritated and said " Mukhi Ji.. I am your Personal Match maker" and Mukhi says ... Haaan.. wahi to .. Gauranii :)

I like the fact that they did not suddenly change what both of them used to ca each other. It would be artificial if suddenly Aru starts calling him something on the lines of Aji Suante ho and he calls her Aru or Mukhiyani. He does call her by both these names but the name which comes easily to him is still Gaurani
