Small detail, gut instinct about Episode 59

I haven't posted a comment in a few years, I watch the hindi serials that have some sort of unique chemistry and story line than the usual saas bahu nonsense. I am not the biggest fan of Sony because they seem to have a talent for finding good shows but then cancelling them far too early so I hope that they realize this show is pulling in stronger TRP's and is on the rise.

Anyways, moving onto the topic at hand, i enjoy the small details in love stories, the looks, the subtle nuances between the characters or foreshadowing by the writers. In this episode, do people remember when Aru receives that phone call from that man saying he is interested in investing in her business, that he will pay her $60,000 a month and when will she be back?

To me this is Mukhi-Ji's doing, it is far too coincidental for her to receive this phone call right now with everything going on. We all know his sense of family/duty and helping people around him, he knows Aru and her family won't take money directly from him, especially when they think they owe him for the stolen jewelry but Mukhi-ji has a strong sense of responsibility and he will want to make sure Aru and her family are okay after she leaves.

Do you also remember during the wedding scene when he stopped the wedding when Aru's tear fell on his hand and he took her for a small walk, just him and her? Even though he thought it was Aru's sister, if people remember he said to her that he would do anything to help her achieve her goals even though she is from the big city, all she has to do is take the first step and he will follow.

Now although he made that vow thinking it was Aru's sister, his sense of duty will still apply so he will make sure that whatever he can do to help Aru achieve her dreams, he will do, even if it means lying and having some man pretend he will invest in her and give her money every month.

This is my hunch, my gut instinct is telling me that it is too coincidental to happen right now, this phone call happening out of nowhere.

I hope this serial keeps building momentum because it is a different show which is always hard to do in India where typical shows seem to dominate because the audience is older people who like useless drama.

Hi.. Wali,

Welcome to the Moh-Mohians forum... 🤗

Me too.. I m interested either in a v good story line or awesome chemistry.

And so far, Moh Moh has showcased the journey of lead couple beautifully. they have captured all the nuances of thr rship and let the characters slowly grow up on.

But as far as story is concerned, I haven't found anything great in it. so if it was jst for story I wudnt have followed this show, but even with the clich scenes and plots the story has been treated differently.. and tht is what is the USP of the show.

The kind of attention this show is getting lately, Sony wud b blind and dumb to judge the show on basis of TRPs alone.

Normally, Sony shows r not popular on TRP meter bt still r very popular otherwise.

Coming back to the story, I wud really hate if Mukiji is supporting Aru. It wud undermine Aru's talent, hard work, and aspirations to make it on her own. Why do a female lead wud always need a well-to-do male lead's support in achieving her dreams, cant he b jst a support in moral sense and in practical sense.. Aru is very much capable enuf to make it on her own.. he can be her guide, mentor, savior but he cannot lead her and literally mouth feed her. This shud b thr journey together and abt how they wud stand by each other every step of the way. I guess that is what Mukhi essentially said in tht mid-wedding promise. I hope writers stick by tht story.

Also You know this happens in every other show. I hope and wish that Moh Moh doesn't fall into that trap jst to grab TRPs.

Thy can still make this story work with progressive and modern outlook of Aru keeping the romantic and comic flavour intact.

Aru's ambitions and desire to make it on her own is core plot of this story and I wudnt want it ruined by Mukhi unnecessary meddling into her affairs. (and going the clich way.. where we have seen leads making big so easily without "Zero" struggle, hardship or even talent)

Hi Violette,

Thanks for the warm welcome to this forum, I tend to not focus so much on the storyline when the chemistry is so good, i love the complex emotions between Aru/Mukhi which is why I enjoy this show so much.

I understand what you are saying in regards to allowing Aru to forge her own career but so far you have to go by the fact that she is leaving in 4 days for all intents and purposes, so in Mukhi's eyes no amount of moral or emotional support is going to help her start her business. What will help her is money to start up her business, if he thinks he will never see her again, then all he can offer is financial support right?

Also, we both know it is great having dreams and ambitions, but when your family is living with somebody else, your father is ill, you already owe money for your sisters theft of jewels, and to have the stigma of being accused of stealing from her last job so no job references, having Aru start off on her own and become a success right away or even soon is almost impossible.

In Mukhi's eyes all he is doing is what he can do, which is make sure she has some money to live by, she is 22, still a innocent kid at times which is both her strength and weakness.

You know all males generally fall into this trap.. where they believe chivalry and gentlemanliness lies in spoon-feeding the woman.. By doing such "so-called" hero-giri, thy greatly disrespect of a woman's ability, talent, judgment, and dignity.

And Aru has a strong sense of dignity and self respect.

Bold: Why wud Aru take money/financial help from the very person she feels she needs to pay back?

They are not into such relation yet and believe me it takes hell lot of time and great level of understanding for a financially independent woman to take help from her life partner who she sees herself an equivalent to. And I believe Aru-Mukhi haven't reached that stage in thr rship yet.

If Mukhi does this, he is digging his own grave. It wud b premature death of thr love story. And that he has not understood Aru at all. The very core characteristic of Aru is her dignity, integrity, honesty, and self-sufficiency.

The way I see is, Aru doesn't even need Mukhi at this point in time.. its only when she will fall in love with Mukhi tht she will have this dilemma of choosing family life over career or vice versa.. She has to face the struggles before she can turn to Mukhi for support, only thn wud she realize Mukhi's worth as a husband.

And for Mukhiji.. first of all he really doesn't need to support Aru.. she is young and is struggling with her life, if he wants to support her in any way without disrespecting her, all he needs to do is set her free.. let her fight her own battles.. bt be in close contact with her.. and when she really needs u be there for her..

I think this wud b test of Mukhi's character and his claimed progressive thoughts 😳

Hi Wahi... Welcome to the forum😊
YMMKD might not have a unique storyline but the acting and the way the story is being dealt with is what makes it different from the other mundane shows for me...

I personally want Aru to remain the independent female lead that she has been until now...for the business they can show that she realises how skilled the villagers are in the work that she sells... She can provide employment to the village women... Make them independent as well... And she and mukhi can work together towards the development of the village😊

Wali welcom to the forum
what u wriiten is the logic and what mukhi can do thinking the story in mind

but as u know i am so scared with all sony show coz i am feed up of sony 😡

apparently sony knows buisness only and yhmmk is recieving lot of appreciation but sadly its is having the most low trp o.2 and sony dont aloow any show less than 0.3 on map

this is show is not geeting the promotion it deserve

the story is not so great but yay the details the characterization a.. actors harwork

and the chemist btw the leads is what make this not so unique show into a unique one.

My reason for watching the show is EIJAZ khan aka mukhi coz the amount of brilliant performer he is one cant even think of and MUKHI oh my my what a character❤️
even mee to thinks that The call definetly is mukhi behind this ...but that for me he has done thinking what is right so i think here mukhi is being just to jugemental and ingnoring arus talent and hardwork.l would be happy if mukhi will be not realted to that call.. but seeing it he only he is invloved

lets see for me Niyati aka aru and EIJAZ are usp of the show..

Hope they dont replace it with thenew show Pehredar piya ki praying hard😭

Hey if you are on twiiter u can join in conversation using #Yehmohmohkedhaage

This show needs all the support and love it deserve specially when airing on channel like SONYYY 😡😡

Hi Violette,

i apologize if I didn't make my original post very easy to read, what I was trying to say is that Mukhi has done this behind Aru's back, she will not know that this job or money is being provided by Mukhi, it could be a setup that later on when she finds out, this would be the harsh test between them. It could also be that Muki see's himself as an investor and then when Aru is starting to do well, he can let her know and receive his money back because he knows how independent she is.

The reason he would do this behind her back is because he knows exactly how self-sufficient Aru is and that she wouldn't take a handout from anybody. It is also very easy to say set her free, let her face her own battles but the situation isn't that easy.

When you have no job, no job references, a bad name due to being fired for stealing, you have no money, you can't even pay rent, you are living in your dad's brothers house, and you are the sole bread winner, you don't exactly have time on your side to start bringing in money eventually, you need it immediately. Remember they had to stay at that ashram or whatever because they didn't have money even for a proper hotel, they need money asap in Mukhi's eyes.

This is what Mukhi will think, I am not saying it is right or wrong, but what I would like to happen is for her to do a business with the village women and empower them to make money and have her be the leader and start her business that way. But to set her free, so then what, the story will be split up with Aru in the big city and Mukhi in the village, how would that work?

We all want and know Aru has to be her own boss, and it would be a team effort in the village to do that with Mukhi. I am probably wrong with thinking Mukhi is the one who made that offer for her behind her back anyways, i just find the timing of the call suspicious. In Mukhi's eyes you have to understand, he is looking not out for just Aru, but her parents as well, if he thinks this is the last he will see of her ever, that they will never be together after 4 days, he would want to make sure she is taken care of, right or wrong.

Neither one of them love each other yet so it is about the duty he feels as an older man, right or wrong. It will make for interesting plot developments :)
