While Rami made Aru wear that dress deliberately, except Mukhi no one else noticed Aru's discomfort.

While Aru must have worn it assuming it is only for a short while she needs to do such things. Uma or Mishri must think Aru is here for good.

Uma is shown as an idiot and rather accepting of a woman's role as a subordinate in life. But I got severely disappointed with Mishri. A girl who is ready to get married to a guy of her own age and preparing to go and stay abroad and not in a village herself (in spite of being a village girl), she has not qualms about forcing that life and and older husband on another girl of her age.
