I (hope and) think it will not be the reason why Mukhi will agree for this marriage (with Dharmishta). I guess he saw how Aru's family is and likes them. If he thinks that the elder daughter is also similar to them in nature, it is an obvious conclusion to draw.

Even if she is divorced, the reason for her divorce was not able to match dowry demands which can make him sympathetic towards her.

And Darmi can be manipulative when she wishes to get something. And so I do not think the pink diary will play any role in this. (I am sincerely hoping it does not)
