| | Poornima of Yeh meri life hai played by Smita Bansal is dying in the serial this week.
Smita Bansal who replaced Sheetal Thakkar in the serial took up the contract knowing well that though it was a meaty role but would last no more than three months.She plays Pooja's sister in the serial.Now that her character is already shown in a mental asylum, it will also come to an end shortly. As of now, Smita is taking a break from work for a month and preparing to go on a holiday and spend some quality time with her family. She also plans to start reading some scripts soon . "I quit CID consciously sometime back , where my character has already come to an end. I worked with the CID team for a year and eventually gave up the idea of continuing with it because it was a time consuming project which allowed me to spend very little time with my daughter what with me shooting for 27days a month at a stretch.. Also it's a heavy duty show which is essentially male dominated and turned out to be exhausting for me so I thought it was better I parted ways," says Smita, matter of factly. |
