What happened today?

Recap: New Ashmit makes an entry, shares some romantic scenes with Pooja. Inder begs Reema to marry Gautam, for the sake of the the Gujral parivar izzat (complete bull)

Today's update:

Bubbles, Maya, Inder, Poornima and Dadiji are sitting at a table, discussing their plans for Reema and Gautam's sagai. All four are looking happy, which is not common these days on Yeh Meri Life Hai. Poornima says something about Reema's wedding, how it going to be a grand affair etc.Bubbles talks in her usual jargon and advises Maya to make sure Reema's wedding is done with much dhoom and fanfare. Maya smirks and proudly says that she will make Reema's wedding a must-see event. Talks move to the catering. Bubbles suggest they order 'less oily food' as oily food is bad for her figure. Umm, looks like she has been eating too much oily food anyhow. Dadiji acts smart and says that they will order boiled food for Bubbles, who doesn't like the idea and says she was just 'joking and shoking' about the food. LOL, not.

Reema and Pooja are walking outside the Gujral palace. Pooja is looking all happy and perky and tells Reema she is lucky to be marrying a guy like Gautam. Pooja says Gautam will give Reema all the happiness and love in the world. However, Reema disagrees and says her happiness and love still lie with Akash. Pooja smiles and says whatever happens in life happens for the best. Reema is like okay, whatever you say Pooji Paji. You know how our Pooji is- no one can say no to her. Lucky girl ;)

After having a chat with Reema, Pooja is shown sitting in her room. She has a dreamy, glossy look on her face. Probably thinking of Ashmit. How romantic. Mandy Paji comes into the room and surprises Pooja. The two share some laughs and then, time for some serious talk. Yes, THAT serious talk. Pooja tells Mandy that she wants to tell Ashmit that she loves him. Mandy is like, 'Girl, are you crazy or what? You've been married for god knows how long and haven't told the guy you love him?' Pooja is like 'shut up Mandy and help me out'. Mandy advises Pooja to take Ashmit out to a movie, and confess her love in Bollywood Istyle! Why didn't Pooja aka Karan Johar wannabe, think of this? Looks like her brain has taken a short trip. Mandy suggests the two lovebirds go see 'Dil Chahta Hai'. How could she name that great film? That would have been the perfect date flick for Pooja and Ronit! Okay, so Pooja thinks about Mandy's proposal and finally agrees to it. The Pooji Paji and Mandy Paji theme music plays in the background and Mandy-Pooja are all smiles. Awwwww. Overall, this was a cute scene and reminded me of the good old days of YMLH.

Scene moves to Akash's home. Akash's mother makes a rentry into the show and luckily, its the same actress that played his mother back in the December-January shows. Akash's mother prepares some garam garam pakoras for her and Akash puttarji but mellow Akash isn't in the mood for yummy pakoras. Akash's mother is shocked with his behavior and asks him what's wrong. Akash explains the entire, yes ENTIRE, Reema-Akash episode. I'm guessing he mentioned what happened the night of the reunion. Good going Akash, I'm sure Aunty ji was thrilled at hearing about your rendezvous and adventures. Surprisingly, Akash's mother is not shocked- did she expect this behavior from Akash? Who knows? Anyway, she advises Akash to make his own decision, since he is an adult now. Akash agrees and ponders away.

Gautam and Reema are shown together. Gautam is ready to leave and Reema walks him out to the door. Reema tells Gautam that he's a very nice and good-willed person. Gautam refuses to accept the compliments and says he is just like any other normal human being. He leaves and Reema watches as he walks away. Pooja (vali kuri) comes up to Reema since she has nothing better to do and smiles at Reema. Reema's cell rings and its Akash's call. Pooja sees his name and answers the cell for Reema. She tells Akash to not call Reema again. Pooja blasts him for not supporting his love and good friend and tells him to 'go make his career now'! Wow, kya baat hai Pooji Paji! She's telling everyone off nowadays.

Setting moves to Akash's office. Gautam says something to Akash (wasn't watching carefully, didn't hear what he said) and says he has to go to his sagai. Akash looks worried. Gautam asks Akash is he knows anything about the guy that gave Reema a dhoka. Akash shakes his head and says no. Come on Akash, confess already. No point in lying like all the other characters in this show.

Back to the Gujral Palace (oh la la) Reema is getting ready for her engagement. Naturally, Pooja is with her. Both look into the mirror (they are such vanity queens) and Pooja tells Reema that she looks beautiful. Reema says some dialogue, nothing really interesting there. And then Ronit comes into the room! YAHOOOO! Hehe, I was all smiles. Okay, he is wearing a white collared shirt and white pants with a dirty pink jacket, looking cute and stylish. Ohhh, Pooja just look at the guy once. For my sake, pretty please? Ronit comes into and looks at Reema. He says that 'my Reema is the most beautiful girl in the world' Pooja smiles. Ronit then gets emotional since Reema will be leaving their home and says he'll always be there for her.

The episode ends on a scene between Akash and his conscience. Akash's conscience teases him, telling him he is suffering inside thanks to all the pain he has inflicted on Reema. Akash shakes off the comment and says he's fine. But his conscience refuses to listen to Akash's lies.

Tomorrow's preview: Looks like Akash is trying to call Reema. Koyna and Simone say something, didn't hear what though.

Does Akash really love Reema or is he jealous of the Gautam-Reema alliance? Pooja is definitely developing some feelings for Ashmit (now played by Raj Logani). Do you want to see them together? The new Poornima does not fit the role. Thank god they aren't showing Ronit-Poornima being in love. Are Pooja-Ronit done for good? If so, I am too. The only thing that can save this show now is Pooja-Ronit. Reunite them or end this show. I hope Rahil Azam is feeling better now and all the best to him in the future.
