What melted Munna's father's heart? Munna's tears or his demeanour and words?
The voice over would have us believe that Munna's father buckled under the weight of Munna's tears and that children of the 90s had only their tears to sway their parents.

I don't agree that it's the tears that melted Munna's father's heart. Munna's father was swayed by Munna's words that touched him. But more than that, he was swayed by Munna's calm demeanour. Munna was upset but not angry. He spoke in a respectful tone filled with humility. Even when he was leaving he turned calmly. His face reflected his sadness at the decision he had taken. The Munna we saw was not the bandar we have come to know. Here was a young man who knew that what he was doing would cause hurt to his parents and so he carried himself in a way that ensured that he was heard. His father would have reacted very differently if he was confronted with the angry young man avatar. In fact, Munna raised his voice only slightly and that too at Sameer when he tried to stop him from speaking. Towards his father he showed the utmost respect and humility. We saw the positive result.

Now I wish...

By the way, I find the voice overs becoming more irritating by the day.

Think above all, it is Munna's assurance and promise that he was not going against his father - he will do what he wants - i.e look after shop/family business. there is no rebellion on this core issue.. I don't know how the father would have reacted if Munna had said I have my own dream and I want to pursue it along with helping Sameer..

Yes, Munna's respectful explanation too helped and most important the father listened - contrary to how he was portrayed in the previous epi..

and what I find interesting is that regardless of what happens - Munna's father wantss the three - Samundit to standby and stand together for life..👍🏼

True, Munna's saying that I have always listened to you and will do so in future is part of his humility and respect towards his father. 👍🏼

Munna knew that if he left Sameer, no one will be left with him
he could not leave his friend alone
and we have seen this munna when Naina attempted that suicide
He did not want Sameer to be hurt again during that time
hence he did not want him to go back to her

Munna knows how to value his relationships and no matter what comes his way he will always be with sameer

True and he gets that teaching from his father who showed how he too valued all his relationships whether they be friendships, father-son relationship or relationships with relatives and business associates. Hopefully through him we'll get to see how all relationships are managed and cherished.

True. Munna gets his value of relationships from his father. The father saw and heard this in his son's demeanour. In my eyes Munna is a true hero.
