Preeti's dialogues of today

Preeti's dialogues about comparing Sameer and Naina's efforts to make this relationship between families successful miffed me a bit. But on further retrospection, I realised Cvs had just portrayed the reality of those times.

Why even in the 90's , even today the girl's family is expected to keep their heads bowed before the groom's family. So Preeti thinking that Rakesh should ask forgiveness despite the major mistake being of Maheshwaris is a fact of those days. That's how people were taught to think.

But Naina's dialogue that it would give the Maheshwaris free license to taunt them for the rest of the lives evenned it out. I appreciate how cvs showed the mirror to us that a temporary solution like that only leaves the bride in a greater mess for the rest of her lives.

And coming to comparing Naina and Sameer's efforts, I don't think that I can ever say one did more or one did less.

But there's one thing which I can surely say, what Sameer did, fighting with his family , Making arrogant lots like them come to Naina's house at midnight, no guy would do this.
No doubt Sameer got stuck up on Rakesh asking forgiveness despite everything, but I must give it tp him that he wasn't in the sane state of mind. Not that it was correct or justified whenever he talked of breaking the relationship, but other guys, even in their sane state mind would have broken the relationship much earlier.
Such guys are hard to find who are ready to fight so hard to give his wife's family the respect they deserve.

Would love to know your views on this as well

😊

The difference between Samesr and Naina js only that Naina only had to manage chachaji and the rest chaxha ji did for her ,making Aggarwal's agree fir the rishta ,but in Samee's case he had ti make his full family agree all by himself ,no one was there for him

Yes this is one difference I must admit, that lead to the final talks, but the collective efforts taken by both Sameer and Naina is beyond comparison, that's what I personally feel 😊 . However that's solely my view, you are free to hold your pov as well 😊

If you see Naina's situation her family is such that she has no right to even say choo' against them. The fact that she fell in love itself was a big crime but it took so much courage for her to go against them to avoid marriage to a Sharad and then come back to face them.

Where as Sameer's family is generally more open and modern. And he can say and do anything and get them to do things too. They being prejudiced against middle class, dil vs dimaag etcc was a road block.

I would say both put in so much for this relationship.

True! What sameer has done till now it's very rare to find a guy like him. But what if the situation was different? Would he stand up for his love if he was from a middle class family?

Yes the platforms on which they fought might have been different. But their fight has been very tough. It was easier for neither of them.

Umm, I don't exactly get you, how would have Sameer being from a middle class family made things different? can you please elaborate?
of course them they wouldn't be able to boast their riches, but they'd have surely found faults with Naina's family.
I feel it all depends on the mindset which is developed in Sameer that made him fight so hard for his love, thanks to Nanu upbringing. And I personally believe mindset doesn't have much to do with class. It varies from family to family, also within the same family.

Poorly written dialogue.. Love is not a balance sheet to say A did this much B did this .. They both have made what they have today..

Ya it is true that always a girls side has to bow down to boys side demandsz it hasn't changed now also.one more thing here naina cancelled marriage with Sharad when he insulted chachachi but now she still wants to many sameer. Does she not like her father as much as chachaji. I agree Sharad was a bad guy and sameer is good but sameer himself is demanding the sorry.

Sameer has done more than naina for this relationship. He has gone to extremes to get married to her compared to naina. I don't disagree she has done but she has chachaji as big support who did for her and sameer had to do himself every thing

She cancelled marriage with Sharad when he insulted Chachaji but isn't doing the same in Rakesh case. True. It isn't that she respects Rakesh less, but it's that she can't give up on Sameer again like she had done during the breakup track. And abt Sharad, obviously she didn't care abt him so it was easy to call off.

I agree Sameer has gone to extremes ,taken drastic measures. Naina too has had to earn Chachaji's support plus the insults she had borne silently. Tbh had I been in Naina's place, I would have retorted at the first insult I get. So for me at least, it was a big thing. That's why I would refrain from comparing Sameer Naina's efforts .
But it's alright to think otherwise, afterall cvs too felt the same, Perhaps in context of 90's Preeti's view might've been more appropriate 😊 .
