When I was growing up in the 90s, there was this saying: Jaisi dawat, waisa aana. It was taken very seriously. It meant that you attended any function only in accordance with the invitation. Anand said to Sameer that he must tell his parents to come at 6pm so that the elders could meet. Sameer told his mother that Naina's Chachaji had asked them to come to their home.
