I think it is very hard to choose one option over the other three. If seen from her perspective, then Principal has taken the right decision because she wanted to protect her college's dignity. In those days, being in a relationship wasn't favored by the majority of the conservative society due to the restrictions they grew up with.
This revolves around the one ongoing debate; love or academics. On the one hand, people say we have no control over love and thus it isn't considered wrong. On the other hand, people say love isn't right especially when it puts academics to risk. Sameer had promised Naina to never let her head hang low in shame, and he stayed true to his word. His unconditional love for her gave him the courage to take such a crucial decision. In either way, there would've been implications. But Sameer Maheshwari decided to choose love over everything else.

Because Sameer Maheshwari humesha dil se sochta hai. Aur uske issi baat pe toh humara dil aa jaata hai 😳

Principal behavior is strange. In real world parents will be called to clg before taking such step

I would say say D but what other options she had. If she involved parents it would have exploded.

Mine is D.
She scolded Swamun for proxy.

We dont know if she really let the library couple get away with it or she punished them before punishing Naina.

She punished Kartik for what he did.

So she is a strict person. But making a student loose a year for this was too harsh of a Punishment.

There could be lots of other ways to punish.. Call parents.. Mama Mami would come but Naina's parents will not be involved as he didn't take name...

Ask him to put a fine or some default -ve marks in exams...

Or may be restrict from giving one paper which he has to appear for in supplementary exams... Or take away some other privilege like going to red rose, music room, library etc..

My Answer is D.
Moreover no principal will give such a harsh punishment without even informing parents about it.
