If we compare, then Naina's jealousy is quiet harmless as compared to Sameer. It's like she gets extremely jealous and gets angry on Sameer and tells him to stay away from the girl, but Sameer possesive Maheshwari is ufff...
He either breaks the nose of the guy, or makes Naina tie a Rakhi to the boy...

Not to mention, adult Naina talks about her jealousy like yeah, I used to be silly...
But adult Sam still hates the name "Sharad" to the core ( think about how much he still hates the person if he hates hearing his name) and he still gets livid, when he recalls the incident of drama with Karthik.
Think about how much love adult sam puts in his words when he refered to her as "meri Naina" on more than one occasions, and he is like dare look at my girl, and u get killed.

Imagine a guy name sharad comes to ask for a job from sameer in future, and Sam gets super angry and says that he can't job to CA named Sharad.
And the guy is like, but I m not a CA😃

When sameer's vo said "aj bhi dil jalta hai" I was like omg this boy is madly in love with naina. Sameer is way more possessive than naina. Bass naina express karti hai phir bhul bhi jati hai. But sameer never forgets. Sach me uska dil jalta hai.

so true
he is way more possessive of Naina
maybe because he only has Naina to call his own family
apart from munna and pandit
because we can not deny it vishakha could never be the mom that sameer deserved
and after nanu he only has naina munna and pandit
and naina will be his wife
so he can not even imagine her separating from him due to any reasons what so ever the outcome be

There is a lot of depth behind this difference in jealousy. It shows the journey these two have crossed together. Naina was insecure and jealous about Sameer but took it as a silly expression telling him to stay away from the girl. This is because, after the redemption track Sameer had instilled a deep security and stability in Naina. She knew despite it all that Sameer is hers. Period. No girl not even Sunaina could take the place she has in his life. This is especially evident with the amount of trust she had in Sameer during the delhi track and how she was willing to fight him to have him back during the manhoosiyat track

On the other hand, Sameer is a lot more possessive about Naina because there is still a deep seated fear in him that someday Naina will realise how much better she is than him and on finding someone better tan him will leave him. This is not because he doesn't believe in Naina's love, its because he has never had the love and affection that Naina showers on him except of course his Nanu. But this is why he is a lot more insecure about it. His Naina showered so much care and love on him and then died. He is scared of going through that pain again. When Naina left him, it was like the life had gone out of him. Because despite Mundit being there, he felt he had no reason to live as there won't be anyone he would want to live for. Which is why he pondered suicide but didn't commit it because he knew Naina would take that step too. And he couldn't bear that.

Moreover, after meeting Naina, Vishaka prodded that spot of insecurity in Sameer by stating that in Naina's comparison he was the one who was lacking. That's why he fears losing Naina that stokes his flame of jealousy to no avail.

This is not saying that Naina loves him any less. Its that difference in their roots which they constantly acknowledge. Sameer will always have the missing childhood while Naina despite having a struggling childhood will always have the security of her chachaji to fall back on. If Nanu were alive today, his jealousy wouldn't have been that fierce. Because he too would have security of not only that he is good enough for Naina but also that he will always have someone to love him like Naina does. And I am glad that this feeling has not been done away with in future because that would be unrealistic. Sameer would always have scars of an empty childhood no matter how close he and Naina have become that loss can be filled but will never be whole.

you have so . rightly put it across
it is cent percent true
the whole that nanu left will always be void and can not be filled
but with naina he craves for the love that he has never received apart from nanu and hence does not want to let her go
Naina is the essence through which he is living his life
that is why it is always meri naina
without this essence his life is incomplete
so he always wants naina to be close to him
and is scared of losing her like he lost nanu

Yes the whole meri Naina is always voiced like its gentle caress on his soul. There is pride , love, a wholesome feeling but also that void which he tries to fill with 'meri'. I think this is why I particularly appreciated the Delhi track. Yes it was difficult to go through but it brought leagues of depth in Sameer's love for Naina. The loss of Nanu and its subsequent trauma which led to delinquency was dealt with so well.
One particular scene sums this all up: Naina dreams of Sameer being trapped in a closet and crying out for her. It is at the same time that he gets really involved with the bad gang and starts depending on them. I see that scene as poignant because without realising Sameer's soul was calling out to her.

yeah the fulfillment in his life is naina and can only be brought by her
His soul has always been connected to her with or without his knowledge
like in the mount abu track too
he did not want her to confess though he got many chances

Their souls were tethered long before they met because they sensed each other even before Naina first saw Sameer. She is his conscience, humanity, the calm before the storm and the light to cross over to throughout it. Their love each other is magical, poetic and divine.

yes I completely agree
they have been connected way before their first meeting
and maybe the dupatta which he tore
is a symbol that naina and sameer were always meant to be
and they are tied with each other

I actually drew the same analysis a while ago in my post on SamAina twirls. It is so telling that Naina started being the bandage for Sameer's wounds long before they met each other. She was to come into his life to heal his deep scars. I actually thought of the dori as a parallel to that. Then she helped him and now he helped her. Also links so beautifully with their first kiss on handkerchief. Cloth and Samaina are tied together beautifully.
