Hello my dear forumwasis and friends..🤗

It feels so good to see symbolism directly conveyed in the show.Well I took a deeper analysis into the darkness of dark chocolate.

"After about 20 years of marriage, I'm finally starting to scratch the surface of what women want. And I think the answer lies somewhere between conversation and chocolate. ''-- Mel Gibson, American Actor, Producer and Multi Award-Winning Performer

Gibson 's quote is funny but truthful. And there is an underneath layer to it.Yes..the scrapping of surface'. Women, conversation and chocolates have the surface which is dark double-the person we don't want to be.

Why we despise Darkness? Why shadow is associated with negativity?

Let's understand.

To choose to be one way is to choose not to be another. The shadow, the dark coating is made up of the "unchosen" choices. If, as a child we choose to be tough, then we are not tender and vice versa. In a choice to be an athlete we may give up the options to be a musician or an artist. We learn to either keep our feelings in or to let them out. This is the perception people/outside world has.How wrong it is..A tough looking child can be the most emotional and an athlete could be the best artist.

Who knows?

The seeds of the future lie in neglected figures, like the dark urges of our Id; which return and call for restoration and attention. There is much positive that can be gained from the shadow, from the darkness but there is much resistance. We are too scared of our recognition in socialization process.

The darkness, however, does hold significant positive features for the personality. Eventually positive feature needs integration if the individuation process is to proceed. Robert Johnson says that there is "gold" in the darkness. This gold needs to be mined and brought to the surface. This gold is positivity .The renewal of faith in best of our times and even worst of our times.

This is where Sameer's introspection about dark chocolate fits in

"Humari zindagi bhi iski tarah hai, dikhne mein bilkul dark..par swad me ekdum meethi..jisse khakar mazza bhi aata hai aura cha bhi lagta hai.Aisi hi humari zindagi hai ,humein lagata hai ki sab kuch bahut dark hai ,bahut dark..har taraf andhera lekin phir agle hi pal ujaala sa chaa jaata hai..ek pal maano lagta hai sab kuch bahut kadwa hai par dusre hi pal sab bahut meetha lagne lagta hai..''

Sameer talks about seeing beauty and sweetness in absolute bleakness and tempests. He advocates for seeing opportunity in face of calamity.

And who better can be a real dark chocolate than him in real life. He is like a chocolate in a box, looking dark, tough in place, all the while harboring a secret center.,a soft personality of luscious cream.

"If there is Shadow, It implies a bright light is very close to you. ".

Be Positive.

This is strictly my POV with resistance to Darkness idea burrowed from studies of Carl Jung.😳

P.S.:All those missing my posts..hope this makes you happy.😃

Fab post Minu! And so good to see something so deep from you after a while...

True, this time the symbolism wasn't implicit.. Sam actually spoke about it. I suppose it was meant to be a blanket statement about the separation track as well, not just their latest tiff about swati.

While reading your post something just struck me... eating chocolate from early childhood we grow up learning and hence knowing that this piece is dark brown stuff though does not look very appealing is highly desirable due to the satisfying..no actually very tempting taste! But, if we did not have this context it wouldn't seem so tempting as a grown up.. extends and applies to so many things in life, right?

Loved it !! Loved it !! Loved it !!

Minu , there is a point that he emphasizes ...that is on the sweet side of dark chocolate. Dark chocolate has a bitter side too...which he conveniently avoided and stressed on the meeta side .. 😉 Because I feel when she is around , that bitter side of his always gets negated by her sweet side like sugar / milk... 😉

I loved that conversation very much...

Wonderful post Minu.
I feel like both Sameer and Naina are like dark chocolates. Both are having a different face in front of others and it may be bitter and dark. But when they are together a sweet creamy side of each of them are coming out.
No one in the world was aware of a poetic mind of Sameer but Naina found it and brought it out and now it has reached to such a level that he is not having any hesitation to showcase his talent in front of anyone.
Similarly her classmates from primary class, Munna and Pundit were completely surprised when they came to know about the prankster Naina who got the courage to do such a dangerous prank to entire class and school principal.
These two acts were completely opposite to whatever impression that they had created so far.

An excellent post Minu ( I hope you don't mind me addressing you by your name). You described and elucidated the darker side of everything in the most magical and magnificent way👏. I have pleasure reading your posts, be it your analysis or fanfictions. Real life is no fairy tale . The characters and situations are neither entirely white (good) or black (bad). There are always shades of grey that makes life realistic. There are layers to everything. It's upon us as to which layer we peel and focus on. Sameer very smartly talked about the sweet side of dark chocolate, avoiding the bitter one. But the bitter side is tastier ,for me at least, as after that I know I am going to taste sweet. Being optimistic and seeing something or the other as positive in darkness also and having faith over it is very important. After all, light and dark are two different things but we need both. As too much light burns while too much darkness blinds. It is only the blend that gives shade!!! And dark chocolate is the best blend! 😆😃
PS.: my salivary glands have become hyperactive after reading this..

Wow Minu di! I certainly missed your symbolism and I came here to take a short break from studies so I won't be able to convey all of my thoughts regarding this. ❤️
Liked the talk about perception and May wrote what I had in my mind. Dark Brown, an unpleasant colour (not in my opinion though) for some but still we are tempted towards the chocolate because of the taste, the very delicious and tempting one! The comparison with their love done by Sam was amazing and yes, this time the symbolism wasn't hidden. 😳
