Vishwas mein Shwas bhara hai!

That's the principle Chachaji lives by. That's the one thing where this show is stuck at the moment.

Till now in the show we have seen Chachaji talk about and emphasize on 'Vishwas' so many times. We saw it once when he got mad at Bela for not keeping the promise about money and he was angry and inconsiderate to her for many days. It is alright when Chachaji ranted at Bela for breaking his trust, both are adults, both are equals in a relationship and he was rightfully mad that what should have stayed between them as a couple the whole family now knew.

We saw it again when Arjun's affair was exposed. He took a promise from the girls to not break his trust.

And now, we are again seeing that. Yesterday he was telling Naina how it took years to build trust and only minutes to lose it. Now Naina is even more terrified of breaking that and she even suspects that she may have broken it already! Ironically he was saying this for himself but actually Naina was doing the same with Sameer... Breaking his trust on her that he had built up over the last 3-4 years.

So my questions...

Is it fair to expect the same level of commitment to trust from a child? Does that mean that every time a child commits a mistake or even utters a lie, the child breaks the trust?

Chacha is so particular with Naina. on this issue...
Does he not think she is also a child?
Does he not accept that at her age she will commit many mistakes?
If her mistakes don't match with his thought process, does that mean she broke his trust?

When he made the girls promise after the Arjun affair, what is his definition of trust in that context? Did he mean that the girls cannot fall in love or they should come to him immediately and blurt it out... irrespective of whether the boy in question accepts that love!

I think that is too much pressure from a parent, especially one like Chacha who also prides on being more liberal and a forward thinker.

Your thoughts... 😃

Totally agree Aarti!! He kept on saying parents should become friends of their children. When did he say that openly to them? When did he say that you can share all your problems with me? Asking to commit not to break trust is putting too much pressure!! When you are open minded on girls studying and working after marriage then why do you have thought process on caste system? Having said all this, he is a wise character but he is also flawed. The wisest one was nanaji and he is being missed terribly!!

I think you guys are really only focusing on the fact that Naina hid her love for Sameer. Chachaji is hurt because Naina said she was standing up for him. She kept on saying that I did this for chachaji and then he comes to know that it was for Sameer. When Naina stood up he took her as his daughter and then he comes to know that this new relation they have is all fake.

Hey Aarti lovely post...And very thoughtful ...
The trust and mistakes in Parent_child relationship so much depends on how they define it ..Yes I Agree.. living in a family certainly gives you some luxury plus the Norms of being part of it...

As a Kid earlier I have done a lot of things but as a Parent I definitely disagree with my kids to same points which even I enjoyed in my childhood...
Every parents say that don't touch the fire ,you will get burnt ...Or no don't go there u will fall ...And every kid actually tries once to catch the fire and feel the burnt...every kid has to take the fall..this is the process of growing up and learning ..

.You can never grow up without experiencing things on your own...Infact if you see young kids are so much progressive on learning and growing ..But as they grow older ,the fear that starts to build ...And with fear comes the fear of failures ...

Similarly living in a society we are burdened by so much between Right and Wrong...That we all time just consider life as predicted by others instead of living Our life as we wishu

This is where we again start the fear ...It's the fear of failure ... I know no parent would willingly ever want bad for their kid...But the society ,and it's continual objections certain Times is so much to handle...

In Naina's case we all have seen Tai ji abusing her for everything ...I don't know why ( may be CV's wanted to show this way ...BuT in real life also we may have certain members in our family who are so much opposed to us no matter what ) ..In all that process she was always protected by chachaji and his trust...

Being a guardian he would have thought what big can she do...just let it go .. so now when this one truth comes In front of him and that too with a third person angle ( letters and Swati) ..it is obvious that he feels miserable and betrayed ...
It's not particularly because of Naina ...But somewhere because of his other family members with whom he had kind of a challange that she will never do anything wrong...

If he has any kind of sensibility ...As shown earlier , he will definitely think this out...he will clear up things and decide what ever he feels right or wrong ( not the second hand versions of his family and society) ... But that's a show and we will again see what they want to show us...

Very interesting perspective and analysis..I don't know how this Chachaji angle will play out..as a matured individual and one who has seen Naina go through all kinds of pain and go through the verbal and physical abuse from both her father and Taiji I was expecting a conversation from Chachaji..an open emotional conversation but we did not get that..he needs to understand why things are the way they are..
