Chapter 8 :

Swathi along with Munna went to meet PreeDit the next day to explain their plan.

"Aren't you busy with your wedding?" Preeti asked munching her chips.

"We're. But since your brain got dumb after becoming pregnant, I want to dust it back for you" Swati said sitting beside her.

"What?" Preeti asked looking at her angrily but swati continued to munch the chips.

"I asked you something" Preeti said taking back her chips. Swati pulled it again from her. They continued their fights until the boys stepped in.

"Girls, lets focus on our plan" Pandit said making the girls look at him angrily.

"Okay.. Chill.. We have to unite Sameer and Naina.. And me and Swati are here for that" he said.

"You still think he deserve Naina?" Preeti snapped back.

"Do you think your sister can ever move on from Sameer?" Pandit intervened.

"I know she can't but I don't want him to hurt her again. Also I think she ll accept him again." She said dejected.

"He can never hurt her. He stayed away from her so that he can save her from being hurt." Munna said taking Sameer's side.

"Also about making her accept, we're planning for that only. We know she is hurt but that doesn't mean she doesn't love him" Pandit said.

"But when you guys discussed it?" Preeti asked confused.

"After meeting Sameer the other day. I informed Swati also" Munna said.

"Fine. But next time if he hurt her, I'm gonna track him down and kill him" she said grunting and the trio smiled seeing the love of her.

"So, the plan is we're gonna make them do the wedding planning together" Swati said smiling thinking of her idea.

"Oh, so that is the reason, you guys made them as your bridesmaid and groomsman" Preeti said as she began thinking.

"Yes, and you got angry" Swati said with a fake anger.

"Okay.. Sorry.. I over reacted. Now tell the plan" she said holding her ears.

They discussed the plan and left the place feeling satisfied.

Naina's pov :

Whenever I thought his chapter is over in my life, he comes up with a new chapter. I was sitting in my own world, when Sameer came inside.

"Good morning Naina" he wished and went to his place.

"Good Morning" I said with a small smile.

"Are you alright?" He asked worry taking over his face.

"Yes I'm good" I said trying to sound as good as possible and he nodded.

"Btw, did Swati spoke to you?" He asked me.

"No, why?" i asked confused.

"Since they're busy with wedding shopping they want us to check on the venue" he said feeling tired.

"Oh, so when are we leaving?" I asked feeling tired myself along with I have to spend time with him alone.

"Does he also feels the same being with me? Don't forget Naina, he wants to be just friends with you.. nothing more.. Don't fall for him again" I began wondering and talking to myself.

"Naina?" Sameer called loudly.

"Yes.." I said coming back to earth.

"What are you thinking?" He asked looking at me worried.

"Nothing.. I was just thinking about the works to be done" I said feeling better with my instant answer.

"Don't worry. I have asked Reema to cover for you when you're not available" he said smiling at me and I nodded.

"Okay, we'll leave in the evening. I have a meeting to attend now" he said leaving the cabin giving time for myself.

Sameer's pov :

She looked so out of the world. Something is eating her up but she doesn't want to spit it out. I wish I was the Sameer in college with whom Naina shared every single detail.. The more I see her sad, the more I want to hug and comfort her. But I'm in such a situation where I can't even hold her hands. Tears welled up in my eyes but I'm determined to win her back at any cost.

After the meeting got over, I called Naina and informed her to wait near the back gate and that I ll pick her up. It was raining slightly. As I reached near the office, I was stunned with what I saw. Naina was twirling in the rain enjoying herself. This Naina reminded me of the girl I loved. Her laugh when a rain drop falls on her was really infectious. Seeing this my hope got increased. I stopped my car and went near her without any control on my own. Just when I a step behind her, she turned sensing me. She looked at me without breaking her eye contact and I was staring back at her. I placed my one arm on her waist and pulled her near me. She got stiffened for a moment and then loosened a bit. I slowly moved my other arms and removed the trances of hair that was sticking to her face. Her lips parted slightly coz of my touch on her skin. I tightened my grip on her waist and moved closer to her. She closed her eyes and held my shirt tightly. I inched closer to her when suddenly a dog barked. Naina opened her eyelids and jerked away from me bringing me back to real world.

"Sorry" I mumbled and left back to the car and She followed me quietly.

Our journey in the car was silent as both of us were unsure about what to speak and was awkward with the situation that happened few minutes ago. I was seeing her through the corner of my eyes and noticed her rubbing her arms. That's when I realised she must be feeling cold. I immediately gave her my jerkin and mouthed a thank you. Seeing her wearing my jerkin I wished to see her in my shirt one day lying in bed near me and holding her closer to my heart. I hold the car steering tightly to take a control of my heart and diverted my eyes away from her.

Naina's pov :

We got down at the venue. The wedding venue doesn't seem like one.

"Seems like we've got a lot to do" Sameer said moving forward and I followed him.

We called the wedding planner and suggested few ideas to him.

"I need a cup of coffee. My head is paining" he complained in his usual way.

"If you don't have lunch, this is expected" I said knowing about his usual habit of skipping lunch and then complaining about headache. He looked at me with his eyes twinkling. That's when I realized what I blurted.

"Is there any good coffee shop nearby" I asked the wedding planner pretending to ignore his look.

"There is one shop at the end of the street. They make good coffee" he said to us.

Sameer was about to move towards his car when I interpreted.

"Can we walk?" I said walking towards the exit and saw him running towards me.

The walk to the shop was silent. The place was so silent and serene with nature's beauty. Our hands were touching each other accidently but none of us tried to move away. Atleast I liked the warmth of his hands. As told by the wedding planner, the coffee was wonderful. I could see the stress lines becoming invisible from his face. I always like watching him drink his coffee with so much love as if it was his soulmate. I even used to complain him that he loves his coffee more than me. And even today he loves his coffee more. At least he didn't let go of it. We spoke about our days together carefully avoiding the bad days. It was as if two lost friends who are meeting after long time for a cup of coffee.

It was the decided that till the wedding gets over, we'll be coming here after work to check on the preparations.
