I found it a bit weird the way Sameer cut off when his name was being announced. Why do you think he does not want his name to be revealed?

1. He wanted Naina to guess.

2. He did not want Vishakha to find out about his love interest.

3. To escape daadi's taunt on no one has ever worked in their family..

4. I do not know...

I guess because he has told Amrita that he will tell about his job to Naina when he gets his first salary..so he doesn't want Naina to be aware of his job before it but still guess the voice..

5. Many people then liked to use shadow name, like actors and heroes or writers of that time used shadow name. Like that Sameer also wanted to use Shadow name I think.

And also he wanted to send his message to Naina, which only Naina will understand.

No.3 may be. That woman taunts him for no reason, if she finds this she will definitely poke in to Sameer's life. Besides it is safer for Naina too. How will she listen to Sameer if her entire family is there at first listening to Sameer and seeing Naina blushed. 😳 This happens in love dear...samjha karo. 😉
