Hi.I am Sweety.
Wanted to make this post since ages. But doing this now.

As we all know the best part of this separation track was Samaina's phone conversations. As a 90s kid or even mid 2000s telephones have been an integral part of our lives.
So...I wanted all of you to share your memories related to telephone.
Starting from mine.

1.My mom is a working lady.So in childhood telephone used to be the only means to know about my and my sister's whereabouts.
2.Till date it is the only means to contact me if at all I have locked myself off from my friends.(Switching off mobiles,Deactivating FB account,etc.etc.I am pro in this,).The only thing to reach me is my landline phone.
3.It also used to be an integral part of my love story. The only way we can talk to each other.
4.It is because of that I have my net connection.
5.And above all I have experienced the locking of our telephone.Don't remember the reason.Even my sister also don't remember. But still have same experience as Samaina.

So that's all for now.Hoping to read your ones.

P.S.--Sorry for such a lame post.For I am just a curious child.
AND NANI THATS OUR PHONE.GOT IT THIS WEEK.YOU LIKED IT?
Mun bhulijaithili kahibaku.

Landline phone has been a part of everyones memories i guess... even we had a phone and that was a special occasion the day we first got that.😃
We used to keep it so neat and clean and protect it as we did to our new toys😃
later i have some memories of trying to make STD calls in emergencies by my parents to our relatives in Agra...also some lame blank calls and all😆
thats all...the time we had mobile phones...landline phone went out of our home😉

I have also quite a few memories attached to the landline.
1. We had the same phone like the one Sameer had in his Nani's home. Mine was red in colour. Since I was 3 years old when the phone came, mere liye vo toy hi tha😆

2. My dad got transferred to Bihar when we were very small. He used to call us daily from the STD booth no matter what the circumstances were (Bihar was a very unsafe place at that time). Anyway uske baad jab bhi transfer hui papa se baat krne ka ek hi zariya hta tha hmara landline❤️ Agar landline nahi hota to 😭

3. When I was in 6th std, BSNL revolution kicked in. BSNL to BSNL calls became free. Me and my friend used to talk for at least one hour after coming from school. School me sath hi pdhte the lekin ghr aa ke us landline pe baat krna bhi itna hi zaruri tha🤣

4. Since STD call rates were very high, my mom used to keep our phone lock kyunki mai aur mera bhai kisi ko bhi phone mila dete the aur fir jo bill ata tha😆

And don't call your post lame yaar. We all have many memories attached to landlines. It felt good reading about your experiences😊

Hey! Beautiful post. Everyone would have used landline except for few who are below 18 years might not have used (just in case).

We still have landline at our house. We also had Tata ka landline which had caller id but now we have BSNL. Our phone was black and white and now it is greyish something.

We also had a phone which Taiji has like the fully black one with no buttons when we were in Ahmedabad. Usmein fingers fass jaaye aisa hota hai :P

My father did not allow mobile phones toh sirf landline was the way to connect with friends. And above all, I used to remember each and every classmate's landline number when I was in school. This was in a way good because our memory was actually being used 😛

I still remember birth dates and important days and few numbers as well but not too many now because of mobiles.

I remember landline pe pehle itne wrong numbers aate the and we used to sometimes make some fun ;)
Too many memories with the landline.

This is one of the reasons apart from the letter writing, I love about this show.

Thanks,
Hari :)

But then my father had bought a landline phone which was kept in our room only..naya naya call krna sikha tha..school diary se dekh k apne hi parents n guardian ki call kr rhi thi..phir ek number pe call laga hi nhi..kitta try kiya nhi laga..phir pata chala ki landline se usi k number pe call kr rhi thi to call kaise lagega😆

Hi sweety... Good post
I'm sure all the 90's kids have memories attached to landlines.

1. My father's family was a joint family... So phone used to be locked almost all the time... It was opened only to mske necessary phone calls.

2. Waiting eagerly for my dad to call who was working abroad... He used to call once a week or something... Used to hang up soon as it was expensive those days.

3. The only house with phone in the vicinity... So neighbours used to come for attending calls.

I use to stay in a joint family. There was only one phone in a family of 11 adults. It use to ring like non stop through out the day. When some one for whom the call was, was not at home, we had to take the message to pass on. We actually hired a person to just answer the call and write the messages. He had a template to write the message. What time the call came, who was the caller, for whom, what's the message etc..
Also we had a pen attached to then phone and a letter pad so that we don't need to look for it when needed.
