Very beautiful post 👏

You have written so well regarding how Love brings changes in so many people in so many ways.

I remember that once I had heard that "Pyaar unnathi deta hain. Pyaar tells us what is right and what is wrong. "

It is true.

Sameer learnt to be responsible, not run away from his duties.
Similarly Naina learnt that one should not be judgmental. She will probably learn to let her heart fly and reach the skies. She is already seeing that every situation has to be analysed after listening to both the sides of the story.

Regarding Shefali and Arjun, Shefali's friendship (or love?) might give Arjun wings to fly but is Arjun ready to spread his wings and take the jump is what to be seen.

Beautiful post...
Love itself is a complex thing to understand... Even in real life, people takes their own time in adjusting with their partner... Its not easy to completely happy in someone else's world...
In sameer's case... He has always craved for love and care... He craved for a family... Freedom was never an issue for him... He has got enough freedom in his life... He needs affection which he got from Naina... People do crave for what they don't have... He yearns for love scoldings, hand knitted sweater, someone taking care of him when he's ill etc... These things may not be a big deal for others... Like mundit talking casually about these things at their home... Bt for sameer these are all big things as he never experienced it.

In naina's case... She somewhere craves for the freedom... She never gets to experience things without caring about the society... She's always bound by some rules... She got a chance to live life freely during Mt. Abu trip and she utilized that opportunity fully... With sam, she can relax and be herself... She doesn't have to think about rules and regulations while being with him... She can do nakhre in front of him which she never did with her dad or anyone else.. She can get angry or do do anything... She's a free bird with him.

These differences actually got them together... She gives him what he needs and he gives her what she needs

If I may just add... both Sameer, Shefali having largely grown in a liberal set up..perhaps don't think too much of a physical overture... it's nothing great really for them..and I can say this from personal experience having grown up in that very time frame and circumstances I can completely to Shefali and Sameer. Yet, when one finds that partner there is almost always a special meaning to physical intimacy.
Which is why we see a Sameer eager for that physical intimacy which in his books would be nothing out of the ordinary..yet he is eager for that special stage in his relationship.

Yes Shefali and Sameer are both from a more liberal world . Agreed on that . But I beg to differ slightly when it comes to physical intimacy. I think they take it very seriously much more than others. Infact they are very choosy about who can get close to them. Both have proved this .

When Kamya tried to get close to Sameer , he hated it and literally pushed her and said he is not that kind of guy
When Shefali was learning cricket , she hated those comments and looks she was getting from those boys

Now when Shefali or Sameer shake hands with people from opposite gender , for them its only action of greeting they don't think much about ...but the same act how did Munna and Pandit react?? That's the difference most people don't understand...

So being from a liberal world doesn't mean they are comfortable to accept anyone and every one close to them. They are happy to accept ONLY the person they have accepted . So here for Sameer , Naina is his world now. For him marriage is for the society...for him she belongs to him and he belongs to her and he needs this feeling belonging from all accepts of their life...emotional and physical...so that's why he is pursuing her because that touch is physical acceptance ...which is very much needed from your life partner.

Brilliant analyses Di 👏👏 Loved the scenes symbolically made so suggestive.
In our society Love relationships till now is considered a stigma and something forbidden. But where forbidden thresholds end there magic happens.Miracles follow..

Love has to be the most powerful emotion in the world. With its many facets, it can heal and transform, and it can enslave and cause division. But it can also create miracles..yes the miracles those seemed once a distant dream.
In a liberated love you are no more sentimental..it emboldens.
It a control in itself and liberating in itself.

Lest my communication be misunderstood, let me clarify.. I make a difference between being physically demonstrative and choosing physical intimacy.. which is what I was stressing on...often people who are a bit liberal with their physical overtures were misunderstood in my era too..boy or girl, notwithstanding.

All I was indicating is he is making that conscious choice for physical intimacy and importantly it is coupled with consent of the opposite person... it is what makes relationships in any era special!! 😊

Lovely post Ashu👏...wanted to reply earlier...but got busy with other stuff...anyway...
By reading your post I would want to symbolise humans as kites here. I don't know if I'm making sense here ...but while flying a kite people always say ..."Patang ko dheel bhi dete raho aur jab zaroorat padti hai tab uss dhaage ko kas ke pakad bhi lo, warna patang kat jayegi"...Love does the same thing...it lets you fly high...it lets you be liberal, lets you open your wings...but at the same time it controls you at the right time...

Sameer's liberal ideas makes Naina desirous to fly...those liberal ideas give her an idea of being powerful...but as they say with great power comes great responsibility...and she is afraid to be responsible for the outcomes of these liberal ideas...Since childhood it is fed in her mind by the society being liberal doesn't suit her or probably many girls of the 90s...they were always taught that the outcome of these are bad...and hence she is not ready to take that plunge...not even holding hands is appropriate for her at this step...cause she is fearful...

And Sameer respects her thoughts, because his morals and conduct has been strong...from the start of the show he is shown to be as a person with strong conscience...

You have put the whole idea so beautifully...I'm not able to say anything more...thank you for such food for thought post...

If there were a song for me that signifies what "bondage" means in a relationship it is this beautiful song from the movie Rajnigandha

Rajnigandha phool tumhaare, mahake yoo hee jeewan mein
Yoo hee mahake preet piyaa kee mere anuraagee man main
Aadhikaar ye jab se saajan kaa har dhadakan par maanaa maine
Mai jab se un ke saath bandhee, ye bhed tabhee jaanaa maine
Kitanaa sukh hain bandhan mein

Har pal meree in aakhon mein bas rahate hain sapane un ke
Man kahataa hain main rangon kee, yek pyaar bharee badalee ban ke
Barasoo un ke aangan main

Lovely posts by all!! It was interesting to read the various perspectives too!!
