As it was a Saturday and boring! I rewatched the episodes and came across the one where Sameer tries to kiss Naina's hand. Naina slaps her. I would like to point out somethings.
1)After Naina says we can't be friends, the way Sameer came and knocked the door, he looked so worried and as said he was like fainting at that scene, and he came just to look for her. After he opened the door and found out her crying, he was really panicked. That is not really a thing someone would do for a bet. When she said now they will be apart, he was really looking broken, and when she throw him out of that room , he was looking so broken... covered by his arrogance the next minute and going like he is bored.
2) In canteen, he said she said " raaste alag alag, dosti khatm" as faltu ke baatein. That proves he does not liked whatever she said and he wants it to be faltu. And when Mundit said, Naina was Jealous, he looked genuinely happy, but next minute he came to bet!
3) And after seeing Naina in classroom, Sameer was standing still and he knew she was coming to him and he kept his bag over there, and he looked like a angry boyfriend who is angry to girlfriend for fighting with him.
4) the Questions he asked clearly says he was hurt due to that incident.
"Kya hua? Tumne kaha hamare raaste alag hai! Phir kyu aaye ho mere saamne?"
And when she said, those things he did for her and said : "Aaj jo drama mein kiya vo" and he says he knows he is an amazing actor!
5) When she said , No! and he stayed still. Acting nahi baba! She called him baba. and he was like; What? and he turned. He was really happy to hear that in his mind but as usual ignorance covered him.
6) And Sameer loved how jealous and possesive Naina was for him and lied about Lochan sir scolding him for fainting. It was clear lie, we can see that by his smirk at last after he said it. That was not the bet.
7) He badly wanted to hear why she was jealous, and that moment he was clearly lost in her, and that was what his eyes said. No boy would have tried to kiss a girl's hand whom they hate for a bet! Atleast not in 90, that too a school boy! He was clearly lost in her when he holded her hand.
8) Eventhough she tried to move her hand, he holded it so tightly, If it was for bet he would have taken back because Mundit said she wants him to kiss her. And if he knew she does not want, then he would have treated it as a safe escape. But no, he went on. That was not for the bet!
9) The rise of Naina! Naina's anger and her slap really pissed him off. Not because she scolded him or anything. He was angry because she a kind off rejected him, and she understood him wrong and thought he was like all other boys!
10) All through their anger phase, in classroom, we can understand Naina stared at him with anger yet with love. Sameer, was staring at her time intervals , as he was totally pissed off by her anger, moreover because Naina was not that warm Naina anymore!
11) During the movie time, Sameer was the one who kept staring Naina, and when she looked back, He removed his looks to Naina. Sameer could have enjoyed the movie, it was just for a bet he was ruining his movie. That was not for a bet!
12) He looked at her, while the "Aate Jate song" like he was yearning for a soft look from her. When he take his look back, to TV he looked sad and disappointed! That was not for a bet!
13) He flirted with Kamya in the movie scene, just because he wanted to make Naina jealous, if it was for bet? No!
14) Atlast when she asked sorry, he said "Now she got her senses back, now I will not be talking to her easily." If it was for bet, he would have been friend with her and finished the bet fast. But he played... Not probably because of her bet!
15) As conclusion, he was comfortable with her from first and he got that care & love, when it went away suddenly a day, replacing it with anger, Sameer could not accept the fact! It clearly says he was yearning for Naina that day itself, but not upto his realization! And his attraction was being covered by his arrogance!
