Part 15
Next day, the school was on. Swathi's parents returned back to Ahemdabad, and Naina went back to her house. Though it was not the exam day yet, they still had few more days, they did have to attend classes.
One by one all entered their classes. Soon Sameer came and sat himself at his usual place, across from Naina's bench. He looked around for Naina but, she had not arrived yet.
Soon Naina entered the class with Swathi. Sameer's face lit up seeing her entering, and his gaze kept following her. However Naina, did not look his way. Naina quietly sat on her bench, and started chatting away with Swathi. Swathi was well aware of what happened between the two of them previous night. And therefore this time around, she did not force or played tricks on Naina to make her look Sameer's way. Afterall, she was her friend.
Sameer (wondered): yeh meri taraf dekh kyon nahin rahi hai? kooch hua hai kya?
He hinted at Swathi to make Naina look towards him, but, Swathi smiled and nodded in a no. Naina knew his gaze was on him, but, she didn't have the gutts to face him.
Naina (thoughts): mein kaise uski taraf dekhun, kaise usse face karun? Pata nahin woh kya soch raha hoga mere baremein. yeh kaisi ladki hai ki ek baar bhi nahin roka usse apne paas aane se. Pata nahin log kya sochenge agar kisi ko pata chal gaya toh. Sameer toh ladka hai, mujhe hi usko rok lena chahiye tha. Kyon nahin rok payi mein usse. Hai bhagvaan, yeh meine kya kar diya...in do dino mein woh hua joh shayad nahin hona chahiye tha...uska mere itne kareeb aana galat tha, lekin mein khood ko rok kyon nahin payi...(looking up as if praying to god with her eyes) please bhagvanji, mujhe shakti do, ki mein Sameer ke samne khood ko sambhal paun...aur usse aur aage badhne se rok paun...
Meanwhile, Swathi kept on talking. But seeing no response from Naina's side, she shook her by her shoulder.
Swathi (shaking Naina): naina, kahaan khoyi hai tu??? kya soch rahi hai?
Naina (came out of her thought): kooch nahin Swathi...(pause)...Swathi kya tu meri help karegi?
Swathi: haaan haan bolna...kya help chahiye tujhe?
Naina whispered something into her ear and gave a pleading expression. Swathi assured her with her eyes that she would help Naina however she can.
All this while, Sameer just kept on looking towards Naina. But to his dismay, Naina didn't even look at him once. He felt so irritated, and angry because of the way she was ignoring him.
Teacher arrived, and all students greeted her. And the class went on. Sameer was constantly glancing towards Naina while Naina tried very hard to not look his way.
Finally the class was over. All went out to play outside. Sameer hinted with his eyes to Munna and Pandit to leave the classroom. Naina was packing her bag, and Swathi was standing right beside her.
Sameer couldnt take it any longer. Sameer just looked towards Naina and Swathi, and without even waiting for Swathi to leave.
Sameer: Naina (her back was facing him).
Naina froze and stopped what she was doing.
Sameer: Kya hua??? ab meri taraf dekhogi bhi nahin?
Sameer started approaching Naina slowly but, to his surprise, Swathi quickly ran, and came between him and Naina.
Sameer gave her a questioning look.
Swathi stopped him by putting both her hands forward.
Sameer: yeh tum kya kar rahi ho? hato, mujhe Naina se baat karni hai...
And he tried to pass her, but, Swathi stopped him, and nodded in a no.
Sameer: yeh kya hai Swathi, tum mujhe Naina se milne se kyon rok rahi ho.
Swathi: jinke aage ji aur piche ji, wale hamare pyaar jeejai...aap hamari Naina se aise nahin mil sakte...
Sameer: accha ji saali ji...aur mujhe kon rokega?
Swathi: mein hoon naa...aapki pyaari si saliji...
Sameer got irritated.
Sameer: yeh kya mazak hai saliji...mujhe meri Naina se milne toh dijiye...
Swathi: bilkul nahin...
Sameer: aisa kyon?
Swathi: aisa is liye jeejaji, ki hamari jeeji ka aadesh hai ki aap ko unse door rakha jaye...jab tak ki (and she stopped)
Sameer: jab tak ki?
Swathi: kooch nahin...
Sameer (irritated): Naina, yeh sab kya hai??
Naina was still looking away from him, her back facing him, and Swathi behind her facing Sameer.
Sameer (trying to move Swathi out of his way): aap hatiye saaliji yaahan se...
Swathi nodded in a no...
Swathi: bilkul nahin jeejaji...
Sameer: Naina please, isse kaho na kooch...
Finally Naina spoke...still facing away from him.
Naina (spoke softly): Sameer, swathi theek keh rahi hai...humhe ek dusre se duri banayi rakh ni hogi...
Sameer (frustrated stomping his foot on the floor): yeh kya keh rahi ho Naina...kal raat itna sab kooch hone ke baad...and he stopped realizing what he was about to say in front of Swathi...
Naina: isi liye humhe ek dusre se door rehna hoga...
Finally Sameer realized reason for her odd behavior. He smirked naughtily, and thought of something.
Sameer: ab samjha, theek hai Naina...mein samajh gaya...mein woh sab nahin kar sakta, lekin tumhe dekh toh sakta hoon naa...kamse kam apna chehra toh dikhado...
Swathi smiled hearing both the convo of the love birds. And she slid away from between them.
Sameer moved slightly close to Naina.
And she turned around slowly and faced him.
She was so nervous facing him, her face flustered, and her hands shaking in nervousness.
He looked down at her face, and grinned, and lifted her chin up with his finger.
Sameer (grinning): mujhse dar rahi ho yaa, apne aap se?
Swathi coughed to remind them she was there. And Naina got so flustered that she just turned away from him covering her face.
Sameer (smirked, and walking backwards away from her, leaning on his desk): theek hai, mein tumhe nahin choounga, naa hi tumhare paas aaunga...lekin meri bhi ek shart hai...
Naina looked at Swathi, and Swathi understood...and became the voice for Naina...
Swathi: kaise shart jeejaji??
Sameer smiled looking at Naina's nervousness...
And in Sameer style he put forward his shart.
Sameer: toh Shart yeh hai ki, mein choounga nahin, naa hi paas aaunga...lekin tum mujhe kabhi bhi, kahin bhi aur kisi bhi waqt milnese rok nahin sakti ho...
Naina gave a pleading look to Swathi...
Swathi (as Naina's voice): are aise kaise, jeejaji...abhi aap jeejaji hue nahin ho...ki kisi bhi waqt meri sehali se mil lo...
Sameer: sochlo fir toh mujhe choone se aur paas aane se koi bhi nahin rok sakta...
After a small pause...Finally Naina spoke...
Naina: theek hai, lekin apni baat yaad rakhna...
Sameer (did his famous action with his hands): theek hai...(pause)...toh jald hi milte hain...and went out the door...
Naina finally faced Swathi, seeing him leave.
Naina finally breathed a sigh of relief, and hugged Swathi. Totally not realizing that she had actually fallen for Sameer's plan.
Couple of days had passed. Sameer was keeping a distance away from her, just like she asked. Infact he was not even approaching her or meeting her like he said he would. Though Naina liked the fact that he was keeping his end of the bargain, she really missed him. She missed their away from prying eyes type of secret meetings.
It was night time. Naina was tossing and turning in her bed. Sameer was also in the same condition. But his plan was working. Actually it was Sameer's idea to keep so much distance away from her so she starts missing him. And it was actually working.

Naina (tossing and turning in her bed):

She looked towards the moon from window above her head...

She remembered him touching her for the first time when both were in the woods near the water falls...And she rubbed her both arms feeling his touch...

She shiyed and burried her face in the pillow...
She slowly got up, and walked towards the balcony...as the music was playing in the background...And as she was looking up at the moon rubbing her arms feeling cold...She felt his presence, and she looked down...He was standing next to his bike, gazing up at her...Both of their eyes met, and both got lost in each other.
Jeel si aankhon mein aashiq, doob ke khojayega...

Sameer started walking towards her balcony, still looking into her eyes from distance...

he climbed to her balcony, while still maintaining eye contact with her...and came up the pipe into her balcony...Naina helped him up into it with grabbing his hand...
As soon as he climbed in, he starred down at her...and she got nervous...and distanced herself from him, her back hitting the wall a little further away from him...Sameer's eyes were still on her...and both were looking into each other's eyes, as if their eyes were making the conversation...sameer was trying to figure out what were they saying, and she couldn't meet his gaze any longer and looked away...
Naina:
Root jayein hum toh, tum humko manale naa sanam...
Sameer (moving closer to her, starring at her face, trying to read her):
Door hoto paas humko tum bula lena sanam
Naina (when he moved very close)
kooch gila ho toh gale humko lagalena sanam (and she couldn't hold herself, and covered the remaining distance and hugged him)
Both hugging each other:
Toot na jaye kabhi yeh pyaar ki kasam...

They remained hugging for a while. When Sameer took her face in his hands, and tried to nuzzle her, she shied away and walked away from him. She faced away from him, holding on to the balcony ledge. He hugged her from back, and secured her in his arms, put his chin on her shoulder...
Naina (whispered): tum bahot bure ho...
Sameer (smirked, turned her around, her back was facing the pillar behind her, he placed his one hand on the pillar almost blocking her, and starred right at her face): accha? aisa meine kya kiya???
Naina hit him playfully with her fist...And he brabbed on to her hand with his free hand.
Sameer: bolona?
Naina (gazed away from him, and in scolding tone): Sameer...
Sameer smiled...
Sameer (whispered bringing his face very close to hers): jab mujhse door nahin reh pati toh koshish hi kyon karti ho??
Naina (whispered): aisa kooch nahin hai...
Sameer (whispered huskily and looked her in the eyes): accha?
She couldn't handle his naughtiness, and hid her face in his chest. And he hugged her tightly in his embrace, and kissed her head.
After some time, they both sat down in the balcony hiding from the world, next to each other, in a side hug. Sameer's one arm surrounded her petite body.
Sameer (speaking softly): Nainaaa...
Naina: hmmm
Sameer: Naina, mujhse shadi karogi????
Naina (not realizing what he said, just drawing circles on his hand): hmmm
Sameer: toh kal shadi karlen?
Naina (coming back to her sense, turned to face him): kya??? kal? nahin sameer, kal kaise?
Sameer : lekin kal kyon nahin?
Naina: Sameer tum paagal ho gaye ho? hum dono ke family ko ab tak pata bhi nahin hai, aur tum kal shadi karna chahte ho? tumhara dimaag toh theek hai?
Sameer: toh kya hua?
Naina: toh kya hua ka kya matlab hai?
Sameer: are jab miya biwi razi toh kya karega kazi?
Naina: ab yeh kazi kon hai?
Sameer: oho Naina...yeh kahawat hai...saying, you know...
Naina: haan haan pata hai kahawat kya hota hai...Sameer tum kyon nahin samjh rahe ho...hum apne parivaar ke bina kaise shadi kar sakte hain???
Sameer: are Naina, hum shadi kar lete hain aur fir parivar ko bata denge...
Naina: par sameer...
Sameer covered her mouth with his hand
Sameer: shhh...kitna bolti ho tum...ab mein kooch bolun?
Naina answered with her eyes in a yes.
Sameer: Naina...hum dono ek dusre ke bina do din nahin reh paye...aur tum kehti ho kal shadi nahin karna chahti...
he removed his hand from her mouth...
Naina: lekin sameer...yeh galat hai...
Sameer: galat kaise hai? mein tumse pyaar karta hoon, tum mujhse pyaar karti ho...toh ismein galat kya hai...
Naina: lekin sameer
Sameer: Naina...tum do din mujh se door rahi aur khood ko mujhse door rakh nahin payi...toh socho tumse itna door reh kar, tumhe bina chooye, tumhe bina pyaar kiye, mera kya haal horaha hoga...(sameer cribbed like a little kid)...
Naina: Sameer samjh ne ki koshish karo...aisa nahin ho sakta
Sameer (cribbed again): aisa kyon nahin ho sakta??? Kya tum mujhse shadi nahin karna chahti???
Naina: Sameer, mein bhi tumse shadi karna chahti hoon...lekin
Sameer: lekin kya?
Naina: kooch time ke liye rook jao please...pleaseee...pleasee (literally treating him like a kid)
Samee (making a puppy face): Accha theek hai, lekin promise karo...mujhe roz ek kissy dogi...
Naina smiled and hit him playfully...
They sat there for a while until the morning before the sunrise.
Sameer went down, and bid her good bye, and threw her a flying kiss. And left on his bike...
