Yes the makers showing that Rakesh sir was not missed really looks like a blooper...but am sure they will make something up when he shows up in Mt Abu.
About him as a father yes he was shown as a less caring father all the time but his last dialogue" Ek jawaan Beti Ke baap ko hi pata Hai" and him deciding to go to Abu by bus for Naina sealed the fact that he loves his daughter very much only his way of showing it is different...Naina should have heard this she would be dancing with joy that her father thought this for her😊
