Effect of YUDKBH on Youngsters & Especially on Boys :D

With so many TV shows based on love where perfectly waxed physical specimens try to emote and express love, I had lost all interest in watching Indian Serials or Soaps.
They would either be over the top unrealistic romantic tracks (for example Abhi & Pragyan!!! Seriously when will they even kiss once!😉 They never meet properly for last 5 years 😆 . There are many such examples) or the Ghisa Pita Saas Bahu Tracks.

But then came a random show called YUDKBH from nowhere. I assumed one more dumb show but how pleasantly I have been proven wrong.

I am 32 years old Plastic Surgeon, well beyond my teenage days but this serial has forced me to go back to so many of my memories.

I am surprised, this serial has made me laugh, feel mushy, induce anger, feel sad for the character of Naina. I couldn't believe on occasions the serial could make me so overwhelmed with emotions or feelings that I would have traces of tears in my eyes. This serial made me remember my teenage days so vividly that I couldn't s stop writing about my own experiences of "Happiness and Sadness of Teenage Love" in the forum.

If a supposedly grownup mature man (though my wife says I am still a teenager by nature 😉) like me can feel so many emotions watching the show YUDKBH (Samaeer~Naina and others), I wonder how the young boys and girls in this forum must be feeling! 😆

One thing is sure, all youngsters (either in love or searching for love) after seeing YUDKBH, will be daydreaming about love and feeling all mushy inside. All will be dreaming to have a great love story and I wish everyone on this forum finds their true love.

Boys especially will be having the toughest time ... dreaming, wishing and hoping to find a girl like Naina.😊

Absolutely right Doc😊

This show has come up as fresh breeze to take us away from the crap shown on TV in the name of entertainment and TRPs...really pissed off with never ending saas bahu sagas and horrible horror stuff😡

After a very long long time I'm following a daily soap...otherwise rest of them i stop in just few episodes😆

@braveheartdoc

So true. The entire team of the YUDKBH makes sure that the show stays humble and true to the normal teenage life (with an adequate amount of Masala required for drama). Nothing over the top or megalomaniac.

On top of that, great background score and amazing choice of songs played at the right times in every episode. Many youngsters of 2000 era might not have heard the songs but the viewers from 90s or late 90s have grown up with these songs. Hence, for many like me, it directly tugs at our emotions.

I just wish the creative team stays true to the theme, covering a great story of Sameer and Naina (from school to college until present day).

Hopefully, the creatives do not show an ending where Sameer and Naina are not together, just in efforts to forcefully keep the show realistic.

After all, its a show and millions of its loyal viewers will feel happy, content and find immense joy to see a happy ending when Sameer and Naina are together in love and raising a family of their own.

Isn't it what every human being and teenager wants to have as they grow old!

Hi doc
I had read your story when u has posted a few days back but I apologize I didn't comment on it..
Was caught up with something at that time and then forgot to comment..
so I take this opportunity to write it here that it was a wonderfully written life story and we did feel the happiness the love the pain the sorrow u expressed throughout...

And I'm glad u finally found love and peace where u belonged and where she belonged to u...

Coming to this post yes the makers have made such a different hatke show
Simplistic in approach and narration and even the cast and acting...

I was craving for such a show on Indian tv...
I would say I had stopped watching any show since last 3 or 4 years coz I couldn't bring myself to watch the naagins and the makhis and kaala jadu and historical overdose and the typical seas bahu sagas..

I always wished there would be more shows based on school life or college life or even kids oriented shows. I wished for my kids to grow up watching shows like maybe shaka laka boom, sonapari, sharaart, I dream of jeannie and the likes..
Sadly there are none.

My kids love watching yudkbh along with me and as Anjali mentioned above it is me telling them how and what we used to do..though they are very small to understand about teenage live and all but they like the feel of the show. And it is any day better to show them this one rather than the OTT dramas.

I love the song selection they show...
The exact words the songs depict the situations at hand makes it all the more enduring..and I realize how much the makers have gone into detailing.. and I hope they don't spoil the essence.

If today's generation watches this I'm sure they would love the innocence shown of pure teenage love which definitely is lacking these days...

This show has such a strong impact on me personally that a few days ago we went to a beach park and my husband and his friend shared locations in the parking lot as to where they have parked so we could locate each other...

And that moment I told him imagine how we managed to meet each other when we didn't have smart phones... we didn't need location sharing options and yet we managed everything...

Well this has become tooo long and off the track...

But I can keep writing on this show non stop...

Thanks for this post.
