Those days many old people had conservative thoughts, they had small dreams about their daughters completing their graduation and getting married, just a thought that anything might hamper the marriage prospects or make the girl less likely for marriage made them lose their breadths.

I have stayed in a joint family as well and although I was a teenager in late nineties and early 2000s but the first time I stepped out of my house alone (which was to a so called shopping complex when I was 17)

We all were scolded for small things, cant even think today's kids being punished that way but that was all because of love not because they didn't love us

Chacha Chachi are more modern that Tayaji Taiji thats it
