Hello friends .. today's hot topic .. PeN FrIeNdS ...

I actually forgot about this .. I m so glad the cvs showed this ... 😆

During those days .. yeh un dinon ki Baath hai ..

when we didn't have access to FB / twitter / insta or even india forums , any more social sites ...

All we had was news paper or weekly magazine ..

There used to be these columns on pen friendship ...

Like naina I too have a story to share .. u all can also share ur story if u have it .. coming to mine .. trust me ..

this was so funny & a bit scary too 🤣 well not that way .. now a days it isn't safe to give ur personal information any where but those days ... it isn't like today .. u can easily give out ur personal info on magazines which gets displayed to any one & who lives any where in India or has access to those magazines ...

Ok so let me share my story .. yeah I m not telling any imaginary friends story .. it's my own story ..🤣 ..

So don't remember which magazine .. but there was this weekly magazine & it had a column on pen friends .. many girls & boys info was given in 2 lines that thy r interested in friendship .. I was in probably 6 or 7 class .. so I too sent my address .. my name & address got published ..

I was jumping in joy 🤣 Mai big kithni jhalli thi .. 🤣 I think I was in my Nani place that time which was at least 6 - 8 hours away by train from my place .. so I showed my name to everyone in house .. nobody scolded me or said any thing ... evetubidy said fine ...

After I saw my name in magazine first I was happy that my name came in magazine .. then I got scared 🤣 then got cold feet .. as I then wondered what should I reply in case thy write to me as I was totally clueless writing to total strangers ..

I don't remember how many letters came from genuine persons .. may b I got from 1 or 2 girls exactly don't remember... probably may have replied hello hi how r u .. bye bye take care ...

I didn't have much to say either didn't know what topic to write either .. so wrote couple of lines .. stopped writing after that ..

Then came a big shock to me .. & got mast scoldings from my mom ... 🤣

I received a letter & cintents in post card ...

write this message 40 times on name of God or else u will have to face bad consequences 🤣 If u won't do it u will be punished 😭by god .. 😭😭😭

Mera tho bas Rona hi Baki tha .. like that letter said ..

I too wrote the letter & probably mailed to few to who wanted pen friends ... 🤣 & didn't want to trouble more .. so my mom said enough of the cards u sent . if u couldn't fill the exact number .. leave the card on tree & apologize to god & tell him u didn't do this mistake on purpose & u don't want to give others same problem & apologize ...

This way Maine haath Jodh li & didn't write to any more after this ...

So no pen friends to me after this ... 🤣

Coming to imaginary friends .. that happens now a days also .. no one tells their story as theirs but use a imaginary friend as a cover .. right ... 🤣

hahaha...that was so funny 🤣 I was not aware of this pen friend thing 😛

but i have one story to share...its something similar to "pen friend"

so the thing was...my mom was writing some exams on religious book called "daasbodh" so it was something like distant course...writing papers from home and then sending them for checking to your 'moderator' through India Registered Post😛

so this moderator lady was my 'pen friend'...my mom used to post her answer sheets with one covering letter attached to it...it was a monthly affair...so after 2-3 months moderator aunty started asking some personal things to get familiar...so mom started telling her about me in her letters...so i too got involved to know what r they chatting 😛 and their was a time when I started to write a separate letter to that aunt and she used to reply me with a separate letter...and she became my frnd 😆 after my mother completed her course then this letter writing eventually stopped in a span of 5-6 months 😕

While watching yday epi ...i just remembered her...😳

I remember the times where pen friends was a matter of discussion in schools...but I never had any such experiences although I was myself interested...but never had the courage to go ahead and make any pen friend😆😛

Your story was actually funny😆

i have read about this for the first time in your posts.
your experience is funny. send letters to 40 people in the name of god..😆
interesting and risky.
Is it like tum jaano na hum.movie type - letter's exchange.

😆Yeah it was ... thinking about that now .. now I feel .. it was Gud I tried as I have a memory now on pen friend ... probably .. in 1998 things already were changing ...

Thank u for sharing ur story & that was sweet of both of u .. but can understand as we grow up our responsibilities too grow up ... then sometimes something's we simply lose them not that we want to .. but somethings happen without us realisng .. glad the epi got us old memories back ..
