During that track where raman works for ashok, he was not at all depressed. He was happy neither for working under ashok , but his shortcomings in his biz didn't affect his real happiness.

In that phase, puttar planned many things. He did rinki's shaadi, he came to a deal with shagun regarding adi's custody, he even planned to take next step with biwi in that phase itself. His financial troubles didn't affect him, only because he was already a happy man with his wife and children. His hope lied in his wife and children. He had strength to fight those troubles because his heart is already contented with the fact that he have his wife and children who would look up to him always. Other things appeared very small to him comparitive to the bigger happiness he had.

All that happiness in his life had been possible only because of ishita. Ishita's presence in his life made his heart joyous. He can face any trouble in his life happily, only because his heart is contented with the fact that there is his wife back at home, who loves him and his children no matter what.

That's what he meant when he said be my takhat that you have been always. He don't want her to do anything more than that. Biwi is indeed his thakat😛

On a side note, raman can overcome these troubles even if ishita was not there in his life, he's capable of that, but he would be aimless, he would do things for nothing, he would be drowned in alcohol, he would have no happiness.

Shortcomings are part of life. Being contented even in that phase is the real blessing. Puttar has this blessing in the form of ishita😊
