Ekta Kapoor's Yeh Hai Mohabbatein is finally going off air in October this year after running for almost five years, according to reports.
The ending of the Divyanka Tripathi and Karan Patel-starrer will reportedly be shot on a grand scale and the team of the show will head abroad for shooting the finale.
The show's ratings nosedived after the track of Ishita killing her own son Adi backfired, and people started trolling Ekta and the show on internet. Despite makers' best effort to revive the ratings, the soap did not show any sign of revival.
Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, based on Manju Kapur's novel Custody, ruled the rating charts for all these years, but all of a sudden started getting very low ratings. Ekta's other shows Naagin 3, Kumkum Bhagya, and Kundali Bhagya are still going strong.
The show revolved around the love story of a Tamil dentist Ishita Iyer and a Punjabi CEO Raman Bhalla. Their love for Raman's daughter Ruhi bring them together. Ishita gets married to Raman for Ruhi as she wants to prevent her from his evil ex-wife Shagun. With time, the two fall in love and become inseparable.
Like other shows, YHM also witnessed time leaps. The longest one was a seven-year leap, when Ishita moves to Australia after separating from her husband and starts living with her friend Mani. Ruhi once again bring the estranged lovers together as the two join hands to get her back from the clutches of Nidhi.
Subsequently, time leaps of 2-1 years were introduced to carry forward the story.

There are also reports that post wrapping up Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, Divyanka will don a chef's hat in Ekta Kapoor's upcoming web series.
Ekta took to social media to share the news with fans. While replying to a post, Ekta wrote: Thank U Love! Ishika Going To Be Chef." Divyanka replied to Ekta saying, Yes Chef.
Ishita, Raman and their Mohabbatein will definitely be missed by telly buffs, if the reports are true.
