Raman cried seeing her condition while Ishita sat down in the couch and said-mujhe cancer ho gaya.sab kuch khatam ho gaya,i am dying ,raman.i am dying.aapka pyaar bhi nahi mila mujhe and now I am dying.she said crying hiding her face in her palm.(Raman and their fathers r looking at the CCTV footage.)
They all looked at the screen and Ishita said-kahan jaaun main ab,Raman toh mujhe apni zindagi se nikaal denge.amma-appa ke paas chali jaun.haan unhe call karti hoon.thinking so she took out her phone and said-nahi,what if even they don't want me in their life.what if they too want to throw me out of their life,main kitni badsurat ho gayi hoon,my face ,my pride all went.appa ke liye bhi embarrassment ban jaaungi.maa ko call karun,may be they want me.but jab Raman nahi rakhenge toh maa-papa kyun rakhenge,after all they r his parent first.ab kahan jaaun main,saare raaste bandh ho gaye mere liye.yeh badsurat chehre,yeh bhayanak rog le kar kahan jaaun.ek kaam karti hoon,suicide kar leti hoon.haan yeh sahi rahega,naa rahungi naa takleef hogi.i should kill myself,yes I will kill myself.she said making everyone shocked.
Mr iyer-yeh kya keh rahi hai,Kya bakwaas soch rahi hai,Meri ishu kahan hai ,raman.woh thik hogi naa.woh zinda hogi naa.he said with moist eyes while noone knows the answer ,all were just looking at Ishita,who was sitting like have lost everything in her life.
She hide her face again in her palm and said-mere saath kyun aisa kar rahen hai ,murugan.maine kisi ka Kya bigada hai.nahi ,bigada hai,Raman ka,maa ka ,papa ka.maine unhe kitna pareshan kiya,shayad ussi ki wajah se yeh hua mere saath.yes,Raman even cursed me to die,dekhiye Raman ,aapki wish puri ho gayi,I am dying ,dying.she said and slowly words died in her throat.she got up slowly and went out of the hospital.
Raman cried hearing her words and said-maine aisa nahi chaha tha,I never meant those words Ishita,I never meant those words.tumhara marna toh dur,I can't even see u crying ,bachcha.i can't even see u crying.he was saying and crying while their father were looking at him.mr bhalla with concern and Mr Iyer with anger.he so wanted to shout on Raman for cursing Ishita but couldn't seeing his broken state.
Raman crushed on the floor crying not able to bear the pain,Ishita was not only ill but also very far from him and now he don't even know,she is alive or not.what if she attempted for suicide ,he thought and next moment get scared.he hugged his father tight and said-i can't loose her ,papa.i can't loose her.mujhe meri Ishita chahiye ,papa.i want her,mujhe laa do meri ishita.it all happened because of me,naa main usse itna hurt karta,naa woh aisa sochti that I can ever leave her.its all because of me.
Mr iyer-no Raman,it's not because of u.shayad woh bahut dari hui hai,yeh information digest nahi kar paa rahi,that's why she is not thinking rationally warna yeh sochna that we don't need her is out of question.she was even thinking to end her life,woh thik hogi naa .Meri kanna,she don't even want to come to me,I have to search her,Raman utho ,yeh rone ka time nahi.we have to search her and make her believe that we love her .we love her alot to let her go.
Mr bhalla-mr Iyer is right ,raman.woh dari hui hai,bimaar hai.she want us,rone ki jagah hume usse khojna chahiye.she must be alone and petrified.
Raman look at their fathers and said-agar usne kuch,no I can't even think on that way .it's so suffocating.
Mr bhalla-its not the time to think anything negative.we have to search for her with all faith.we have to find her ,raman.sirf hum hi hai joh uski takleef Kam kar sakte hai.
Mr iyer-ok,stop crying and think straight.ishu yahan se nikli but Raman ke Ghar nahi pahunchi.iska matlab beech ke kisi hotel mein check in kiya hoga.lets start search from hotels.
Raman thought for a while and asked-how much money she had,papa??
Mr bhalla-cant say,I have given her fifty thousand ,u transferred one lakh,kuch apne honge,may be around two lakhs.
Mr iyer-itne kam,she was travelling with just two lakhs.
Mr bhalla-haan I thought she will reach u eventually.
Raman-i think hume thode mediocre hotels mein dhoondhna chahiye,as she has very less money.he said and all went out to find her.
They start searching for her and continued searching till they got drop death tired.at last they went to raman's flat and slept.
Raman got up in midnight feeling restless and went to search for Ishita .he was asking for her in the hospitals when he got call from his mother that they landed.he went to pick them,he saw his mother and cried hugging her tight.
Raman-i lost her ,maa.i lost her.meri Ishita chali gayi .Meri berukhi se pareshan ho kar mujhe chod kar chali gayi.i lost her.he was saying and crying bitterly.
Toshiji was trying to know the situation but he was nowhere listening just go on crying.at last toshiji called mr bhalla.
After an hour,both the men came and took the ladies home.though Raman was adamant to find her but toshiji took him home seeing his vulnerable condition.
After reaching home,Mr bhalla told everything to toshiji and Amma making them shocked.both start crying for Ishita while their husband were consoling them.all were crying and worried for Ishita not knowing where to search for her.
From next day,they start finding her anywhere and everywhere she can be.they search for her in hotels,every kind of.then they search her in hospitals and even in hostels,rented houses.everywhere she can go .
All were searching for her like mad but she was nowhere.
Slowly time started passing and one and half month passed.from last one and half month all were trying to find Ishita but she was nowhere.slowly all started loosing hope that may be she is not alive anymore but Raman had a firm belief that she is very much alive.
Every night he use to sleep after crying his heart for ishita.he use to curse himself for hating her to such extent.his condition was worsening as he was hardly eating anything just searching her all day like mad .
One morning,
Mr Iyer-i don't know how to say this but we have lost ishita.i think she is no more.he said crying while Amma too cried hearing this.
Amma-dont say like this vishwa,Meri kanna ko kuch nahi ho sakta.
Appa-i too want to believe this,but we have searched her alot.itne din mein toh shayad bhagwaan bhi mil jaaye but she is nowhere.
Mr bhalla-mujhe bhi yahin lagta hai,but Raman,he was saying when Raman came and said-shut up ,just shut up all of u.i don't wanna hear a word from any of u ,Ishita zinda hai aur main usse dhoondh kar hi rahunga.aap sab ko nahi believe karna ,mat kariye.just go away,but I will search for my Ishita and will find her.bahut pyaar kiya hai usne mujhe,ab meri baari hai ,usse dhoondhne ki,usse pyaar karne ki.now it's my turn.he said and was going when toshiji said-sab kuch khatam ho gaya,Mera bachcha bawla hota jaa raha hai.aaj birthday hai uska,socha tha,iss saal bahut dhoom dham se manayenge iska birthday.ishita ne toh do mahine pehle se hi preparations shuru kar diye the,nahi socha tha ki aaj ke din mera Raman aise royega.she said crying while Raman stopped hearing this.
Raman look at the calendar and smiled fully.
Raman-aaj mera birthday hai,OMG it's my birthday.he said laughing making everyone confused.
Mr bhalla-why u r smiling??
Raman-today I will prove u all ki Meri Ishita zinda hai.kitna bhi chup le,aaj main tujhe dhoondh nikalunga coz I know,aaj tu kahan milegi mujhe.he said and went inside while all get confused where he is going.
After a while he came out and settled down.he took his phone and start calling someone.
All took sometime to realise he is calling to bakery shops.
Mr iyer-have u gone nuts,Singapore is a big place,u can't find her like this.
Raman-i can,woh Meri Ishita hai.meri pagal Ishita,she told me once ki mere birthday par pure Delhi ki kisi bhi confectionery shop mein ek cake nahi bachega,she will buy all.pure Delhi ko cake khilayegi woh.aaj shayad pure Singapore ki nahi but kisi shop ki saare cakes toh woh zarur legi,I just have to find that one shop.
Mr bhalla-u really think aisa hoga,she don't have much money aur woh bimaar bhi hai.
Raman-still she can't stop loving me.my birthday is the biggest reason to celebrate for her.woh Mera birthday zarur manaa rahi hogi.mere saath nahi toh akele.he said and start trying every shop .
Mr bhalla too thought something and start doing same.slowly all start doing the same thing in hope of getting her.
It was evening,they have called half of the confectionery but didn't get anything concrete.everyone start loosing hope when Raman called a number and asked for delivering a cake.
Shop owner-sorry sir,our all cakes r sold out.
Raman got a hope and said-i just want one, happy birthday Raman should be written on it.
Shop owner-ok ,come.i will give one.he said and told his help to keep one cake aside as on every cake happy birthday Raman was written which they r going to deliver.
Raman hung the call and said-i got her,I got her .he said and ran out before anyone can say anything.they got happy but thought to wait.
On the other hand,Raman drove like mad to the store.it took him an hour to reach the store and got to know that the girl went taking all the cakes.
Raman-shit,shit.i miss her.no,I can't.i want her,I want her.he said and asked-do u know where she went.
Shop owner-my help can tell,he went with her as there were many cakes.he said and called him only to know that the girl went to a nearby church.
Raman ran to the church and saw everyone eating cake.he look at the cakes,happy birthday Raman was written on all.he ran and asked for the girl distributing it ,only to know that she just left in the cab.
Father showed him the cab and said-she is going in that cab.
Raman turn and ran to the cab but it was started.he was running rapidly but the car picked up speed.he start running on the road behind the car with all his might calling her name .she turned and look at raman.she hide her face and told the driver to drive faster ,he obliged and fasten the speed.raman too started running faster and in process he banged into the pole in the corner.he fell on the roadside and screamed in pain.he hold his head which started bleeding now.he was trying to stop the oozing blood when he heard-aap thik ho??
Raman raised his head and smiled fully seeing her finally infront of his eyes .though her face was wrapped in a scarf but it didn't took him a minute to recognize her while she was looking at him all worried and asked again-aap thik ho,Raman??
