Because in almost every ITV show this paternity test happens😆 I don't think every writer can show something dangerous to health everytime n that too without any notice like at the time of drinking or smoking scenes. I remember they used to even give this "drinking is injurious to health" warning during drinking scenes in some initial episodes...but then later drinking started to happen very frequently😆

So basically, in every serial, mostly the vamps or third angles build up some plan against the ML n claim that the baby is his n these mahaan FLs go for the paternity tests. It is either when the pregnancy is announced or when the baby is already born. This is the first time I m seeing that the paternity is challenged in the 8th month of pregnancy😆 N this is the first time I m learning it is dangerous to the baby n the mother. (Very naturally, I don't have any real life experiences in this regards since I don't belong to the society where such complex relationships exist that people will be unsure of the paternity of the baby😆) So based on what's shown in the shows, I conclude that the whole issue is due to the 8th month which was not the case at the time of Shagun's pregnancy.
