EPILOGUE

Raman was pacing to and fro in the corridor while his pari was in the labour room, he could clearly hear her cries, his heart was sinking with each passing moment and though amma and mihir were continuously assuring him, he wasn't at peace. They heard her loud scream after a while making raman run towards the direction and the next second they heard the cries of the baby, he smiled fully hearing it while amma and mihir congratulated him, he had finally got the happiness of being a father. He hugged mihir and took amma in a side hug congratulating her as well, a while later, a nurse came out holding their little bundle of joy in her arms, raman looked at the tiny baby wrapped in a white fluffy towel and smiled fully. The nurse handed the baby to him whom he took with shivering hands, he made baby comfortable in his arms.

N -congratulations Mr.Bhalla, it's a baby girl

R -and my wife?

N -she is good too, we are shifting her, you can meet her in a while

Saying so she left while raman thanked her and showed the baby to amma and mihir.

R -my baby

He said hugging the little one close to his heart while ishita too was shifted to the room. He entered the room carrying their bundle of joy, ishita tried getting up and he ran to help her with the same while she raised her eyebrows looking at the baby asking him if it is a boy or a girl.

R -it's a chotu ishita for us

He said proudly telling her that he won the bet while ishita took her little angel in her arms, aweing over her soft tiny features, she kissed her forehead while she began crying feeling hungry, ishita panicked thinking about the same when amma came inside and told her to feed the baby, ishita signed raman to go out, he shook his head in negative telling her she won't go but she glared at him and he finally left from there. Amma helped ishita sit comfortably and told her how to feed the baby, the baby began sucking her hungrily making her close her eyes feeling pure bliss, the joy and bliss of motherhood. Tears rolled down her eyes with the pure serene feeling, soon she was done with feeding the baby who slept off after having her milk, mihir and raman entered the room while mihika and ayaan were on a video call, congratulating her, mihika couldn't come to the hospital due to ayaan so congratulated her through video call only, raman took his sleeping daughter in his arms and kissed her again not getting enough of the same, ishita talked to mihika for a while and hung up after a while, mihir left to complete the hospital formalities and amma went out giving the couple a moment.

I -so papa, what name have you decided for your daughter

Asked ishita trying to get up while he put a sleeping ruhi in her crib and rushed to help her.

R -what are you doing pari, you should have called me, you are still weak

He said scolding her while she just put her hand on his assuring him that she is okay.

I -I am good raman, you tell me what name have you decided for your princess

She asked curiously as it was a pact between her and raman, if they get a baby boy, ishita will name him and if they get blessed by a baby girl, papa will do the honours of naming his princess.

R -bataun?

He asked teasing ishita who was dying out of suspense, she gave raman a glare who just chuckled seeing the angry mode of his pari as he moved ahead and pinched her cheeks.

R -she is my princess, our baby, our life, our soul, so we will name her ruhi, ruhi raman bhalla

He said smiling which ishita spoke softly "ruhi"

R -you like the name?

I -I love it and why not after all, it's your choice and your choices are always best

She said smiling before she rested her head on his shoulder hugging him wrapping her arms around his waist.

I -thank you raman, thank you so much

She said playing with his shirt buttons making him surprised as she said thank you to him, she was the one who always scolded him whenever he tried to thank her saying formal things like thank yous should never come in between husband and wife and today she was thanking him, he wondered why.

Knowing well that her husband must be confused, she explained herself

I -all this would not have been possible without you raman, I mean after we lost our first baby, I was even more scared of having another baby, but you were with me, supporting me like a rock, loving me beyond ends and bearing my crazy behaviour.

She said recalling the day she had discovered her pregnancy and how worried she was about the same thinking if history will repeat itself with her but raman had assured her, he had almost quit his office and was around ishita as much as he can, amma too was pampering ishita to the full and soon time started passing, ishita entered her second trimester and things were going great which somewhat assured ishita as well that nothing will go wrong with her or the baby, she too was taking full care of herself and though at times, she used to get out of control owing to the hyper active pregnancy hormones, raman and amma managed to control her everytime.

I -thank you raman, ruhi wouldn't have been possible without you

She said wiping her tears while something hit his mind as he teased her

R -why are you thanking me pari, I would love to do such favours on you again and again

He said winking at her making her shake her head as she pointed to ruhi in her crib, who was yawning cutely

I -chup, ruhi is listening to everything

She said making him smile as he picked ruhi back from her crib and made her lay next to ishita, he pecked ishita and then ruhi's forehead and was admiring his angels when the door opened with a sound and a now two and a half years old ayaan walked in.

I -ayu mera baby, come

Said ishita opening her arms for him while ayaan stood at the leg of the cot as he wasn't able to climb himself, seeing which, raman picked him and made him sit in his lap as both showed him a little ruhi.

A -chotu baby

Said ayaan making an amused face looking at ruhi making all smile at him.

I -yes she is a chotu baby and you know who she is, she is ayaan's chotu sister ruhi

A -ayaan's sis?

Asked ayaan raising his eyebrows at ishita to which she just nodded her head and very carefully, ayaan touched ruhi's cheek.

A -soft soft

He said smiling making all smile, raman and ayaan played with ruhi for a while and mimi too spend some time with ruhi and ishita. Soon mihika took ayaan back home who promised ruhi to come to visit her again. Ishita was kept under observation for a few days and then discharged. Amma had arranged a small puja in the house for welcoming her grandchild, ishra reached there and amma did aarti of ruhi and ishita blessing them with good health as they stepped inside the house while raman took ruhi to his parents pic, showing them his daughter, their grandchild, ruhi.

Ishita put her hand on his shoulder making him wipe his tears as she asked for ruhi from him telling him she must be hungry and left from there to feed ruhi. Ishita freshened up and ishraru sat in the pooja together taking blessings from murugan for the new start of their life, as parents.

Later at night, ishita was in the washroom while raman was checking some important mails when ruhi started crying. He panicked and called ishita who told him to rock ruhi while she is coming, he picked a crying ruhi and keeping her head on his shoulder, began patting her slowly walking around the room humming softly to her.

Ruhi calmed in a while and ishita too stepped out of the washroom smiling at the sight of the father daughter duo hugging the other, wanting to be a part of the family hug as well, she wrapped her arms around both of them while raman proudly showed to ishita that he has put ruhi to sleep making her think who is the child between the two, ruhi or her papa.

She smiled and asked him to lay ruhi on the bed carefully without disrobing her sleep, he did as instructed and ishita patted ruhi who stirred a little in her sleep but slept off soon.

Ishra adored the sight of their sleeping daughter and laid next to her, ruhi sleeping in between ishra while both placed their one hand on her chotu tummy, their fingers locked together as both slept off admiring their little bundle of joy for completing their perfect family picture, ishita, raman and ruhi, ishraru.
