Oh,Ok friend.I respect your view because i don't have any personal experience but u have.And i only have read about it & heard from the doctors in my own family.Like u said it's common when a person may or may not bite his/tongue tongue or cheek when he/she have a seizure attack.But why doctors are telling to not do these type of tricks is because the only thing that happen when something is put in the mouth is u end up cutting someone's gums or injuring the teeth.So,the best way to help,instead ,is to roll the person on one side to drain fluids from the mouth,cushion the head to prevent cranial injuries,and seek medical help if necessary. Because anyways it will injure your body...for biting the tongue we can't do anything because it's a 50/50 chance but if when we put something inside the mouth we are knowingly cause injury to that person a spoon like thing will cause injury to that person for sure & it will cause difficulty in the person to take oxygen that's why says not to crowd around them.
Anyway this is what i have known from my reading habit & some from my doctor family š I can be wrong tooš.
