She got it, she really did.
He had a big meeting coming up and he needed to focus, needed to get it right.
She was proud of him, every day for all he accomplished.
Yet, she couldnt help but be jealous, for the past 3 weeks, he got home and she had fallen asleep and had left the house and started his car as she opened her eyes
If it wasnt for the socks on the floor, she would have assumed he never came home at all
Lying in bed she couldnt help but cry
She felt lonely without Raman, by her side
The sound of the front door opening made her heart skip a beat
Was he home?
Raman walked in, sitting down on the bed, he pulled his clothes off, slipped his sleeping wear on and got into bed
"Raman, hows"
"Not now Ishita, im so tired"
Ishita bit into her lip, her eyes rimmed with tears as she turned onto her side
Sniffing she wiped her eyes
Raman looked at her back, he never did think before he spoke
Her scent was doing all types of things to him
Having her in such close proximity was dizzying
Reaching out, he turned her around and pulled her closer
Rubbing his stubble on her cheek
"Im sorry, I didnt mean to upset you, I am just so tired but ive missed you"
And just like that, all was forgiven
Ishita held her arms out
He leaned in, lying in her arms
One minute he was tired, then he wanted to tell her everything about the project
So he did
She answered, asked questions
Made a few jokes
And all seemed okay again
Raman looked up to see Ishita had fallen asleep, tugging her down, he wrapped his arms around her and closed his eyes
It was crazy, to Raman
He could work all day, yet the only place he wanted to be was in her arms
She was home to him
Beautiful, sweet, funny, caring, protective and crazy
But either way, she was his home.
It was early the next morning when Ishita awoke to a cold bed
Raman had left again
But that was okay, she knew he was busy
Her eyes widened as he walked back in
"Breakfast madam" he quipped
"Raman, you're still here"
"I had to make sure you ate, we didnt have dinner last night"
Raman knew Ishita never ate without him, no matter how many times he told her to
Holding out some food to her, she took it then fed him
Like this, they finished breakfast
Leaning closer he whispered
"They say sharing food increases love"
Ishita smiled "Were not a newly married couple"
"Soo"
Ishita smiled "Have a good day at work"
"We will"
"We" she asked, confused
"Yes, get ready, im not ready to leave home"
Ishita raised her eyebrow in confusion
"Im coming with you" she asked
He nodded
"What do you mean youre not ready to leave home"
"Im not ready to leave you, ill only think about you all day and get nothing done, come on"
Ishita stood up happily, she hugged him
"Hey im sorry ive been neglecting you"
Ishita kissed his cheek
"You can make it up to me"
Winking she walked into the bathroom
"Madrasan " he muttered, shaking his head
