The drive to the hostel was deadly silent, ishita was lost in her own thoughts, in between stealing glances of raman while he was too engrossed in his driving to even look at her. Her chain of thoughts broke as the car stopped outside her hostel and raman applied brakes with a jerk. She smiled looking at the gate and stepped out while raman took her luggage and followed her, insisting on dropping her inside and ishita too didn't deny the same. They talked to her warden and her luggage was sent to her room, raman gave his number to the warden for emergency, the warden got a call and so she excused herself while ishra were left alone in the room. She was waiting for him to say something, fidgeting with the hem of her dupatta and finally when she saw nothing coming from him, she was left disappointed and cursing herself for expecting something from raman even after knowing that he had helped her only because she helped him and he was just returning her favour, she was about to move to her room when she felt a tug at her wrist. She turned only to see raman holding her hand and before she could react, he pulled her for a hug.
She was left shocked with his sudden act at first but slowly found herself relaxing as she smilingly put her arms around him and hugged him back. Breaking the hug after a while, he cupped her face and asked her to take care of herself and call him in case of any need to which she just nodded her head not having it in her to say something at that moment.
