YHM= A daily soap and beyond

YHM originally aired on 11 pm so the urban audience was the main target audience. Therefore, having a strong male lead with good screen presence was a must. Audience greatly appreciated rare male centric show that helped the show to gain a strong foothold.

Then male lead's brain stopped working. The role was reversed, now he played the second fiddle role and the female lead took over and the torture begun. 😆 Generally lots of romantic scenes were shown as the male lead's role was reduced in romance only and occasional beast effects (lol) 😆 . Female lead displayed her full range of "bechari-ness", "ablanari-ness", "jagga-jasoosi" and of course "jack of all trades" with never ending lectures for free...🤣

Audinence slowly got bored with female lead's superwoman harkatein. Fianlly the audience got pissed enough to stop watching completely. Then came the next change. Side characters took over. These side characters come and go in the show in every direction, every angle and every dimension...🤣 The disillusioned themselves in thinking that they own the show and they made it a success...🤣

The auto khichdi of sideys makes sure no audience left for the show and it heads for a natural death.

This is more or less Ekta's daily soap formula. YHM followed it word by word.

But but but

There are some uniqueness

1. Nature vs Nurture. Unique step Mother and daughter bond worked in favor of the show.

2. YHM makers are very concern for growing unemployment rate. 😉 So they made tracks for the sidey of sideys, spent lots of money. Now the show took a nosedive, they are saving money by giving that role to an extra as it always has been on other shows and before the makers were too much concerned with unemployment rate...😆

3. Friendship is important but business is the most important of all. That's why friendship didn't get preference. When the show got money, name and fame only then friendship came useful to exploit. You can not do much when a building is at its foundation stage but you can do many things when it becomes a multi-storied. 😉 Thus, friendship gets preferential treatment only when there is zero business risk and can extort the hard work of others. 😆
