It's better not to show IshRa with so many on-screen and off-screen obstacles. Makers, most probably, Ekta wants a new couple who can take the show forward as IshRa is being sidelined for people's own benefit. Ekta surely won't want her show to closed down soon.

Ekta would apparently want a fresh 'couple' on YHM to take it forward? That makes no sense! Mohabbatein is about IshRa no other random person!

Ishra love life is incomplete.Thats the reason why other couples n their romance is not being accepted.
But the ph wants ishra.Thats why ishu' pregnancy is being withheld.
Keeping the viewers still longing for it n continuing to watch the crap that is getting dished out.
But most viewers have simply given up .
Only real life pregnancy will bring that track I guess.

I don't think Ekta as a producer cares about IshRa or any other couple! All she wants is her mega hit show must go on and for that she will do anything. As IshRa are being forced to fade away to accompany others in the story line, she will want to have alternatives. More like a back up that would gain momentum eventually.
