So coming to today's episode (or rather, yesterday's epi)...I have a couple of questions to ask:
1. Last time around I had wondered aloud as to why Ruhi was not going to school. This time, I really want to know WHY on earth has she taken on the role of ANOTHER mother-hen in the family? I mean, pehle Pihu ke gobar-bhare dimag mein sense daalne ki koshish kar rahi thi, ab Ananya ke peeche padi hai...She is not even getting home-schooled, for Chrissake! Is this the example the CVs want to set? This is how a child like Ruhi who had to endure 7+ years as Ruhaan; will recover from her past and heal herself? This is what a 14-15 yr old is supposed to do? Sit down drunk papas and witness one drama after the other in the house? What ARE the CVs trying to prove? That this demure, nurturing side to women and young girls is all they have to flaunt to the world?? Coz now even Ishita doesn't go to the clinic...she is either ALWAYS in the kitchen, solving her sasural's and maayka's problems or fussing over Raman and Adi. I mean, even an independent, smart woman like Mihika does NOTHING but lounge around the house and make khaana, do up the house for this festival and that and act as a comrade to Ishita, in solving the world's probs.
So f***ing annoying😡
2. I suppose Adi and Aalia are no more than 21-22 years old. Then why the F is Aalia's family (it started with moron Mani and is now being perpetuated by her nakchadhi Amma) and the Bhallas so keen on getting AaliAdi relationship to the "next level", whatever that is
Is this normal?? These kids are NEVER shown DOING something constructive about their lives. In fact, the way "love" sprang up b/w the two is hilarious. The CVs didn't even dedicate ONE full episode to developing the story around their relationship. Suddenly, the audience was supposed to take it face-value, ki lo bhai, Aalia and Adi are the new-age laila-majnoo😲😲 It was hilarious...the way Aalia was fighting her Mani-Appa for Adi's sake...I can still buy Adi's craziness for her, but Aalia just seemed schizophrenic and bipolar when she declared her "love" for Adi, after spending weeks going gaga over Mihir. Nonsense
Their pagal-premi nautanki was so annoying to watch.😡😡 And Adi may have the hot-headed streak like his father, but Shagun was right, he deserves better than Aalia (this witch has other agendas in mind, of course, but cannot fully disagree with her on this count). Crazy woman, this Aalu. Seriously, she is a potato in the head. Acting like a spoilt brat because she wants this, and next she wants that No wonder Mani almost whacked her twice. I feel like whacking her when I see her behave like that😡
So anyway, Ishita toh has prolly quit her dental practice altogether (I doubt she can now even differentiate b/w the molar and pre-molar teeth), but now she has indoctrinated her daughter and son too in this nonsense, and so they are now more keen on taking on worldly affairs than focusing on getting an education and getting ahead in their career. Because of course, Raman Papa is CEO and paise ped pe ugte hain😕😕
3. WILL ANYONE TELL ME WHY THE F DID AALIA'S AMMA THINK SHE WOULD NEED TO "TEST" ADI? WHY SHE THINKS THIS IS OKAY? I MEAN, THESE ARE THE "TESTS"? Asking Adi to wake up at frikkin 3 in the morning, ready the puja plate, wear veshti and drive Amma to the temple? And then wahan pe, pick up that boulder in his arms and climb some 30-40 stairs??
It seemed like Adi was going to shift to Aalu's place after marriage, not the other way round. And no, I have no such notions that women have to undergo these or other "tests" to impress their prospective in-laws. Please. I hate that too! But for Murugan's sake, gauge the guy on his behaviour, nature, earning power and love for your daughter...but don't f***ing try to make him a South Indian coz your granddaughter is one. This is sexism too. 😡😡😡
It's like expecting a Christian woman to properly drape the saree in Gujju style, simply because she married a Gujju. Or a vegetarian asked to prepare delicious butter chicken masala coz she/he is getting married in a family of hard-core non-vegetarians. Sorry, I couldn't grab any other analogies right now, but I hope you guys got the point.
After all this "test" wali nautanki, I'd REALLY love to see the Bhallas do the same. But of course, they are Punjabis, they are big-hearted and of course, more accommodating. They would probably laugh it off if Aalu sleeps during Matarani wala Jagraata or make rajma using chana and urad dals😆
And Shagun drugged her son so he wouldn't wake up, and Aalu came all the way TO ADI'S ROOM AND THREW A BUCKET OF WATER to wake him up? How did she manage that? Wasn't her Amma up by then? Kuch bhi dikhate hain yeh CVs...no sense at all
So anyway, after Adi managed to SURVIVE carrying Amma right up to the shrine, she asks him, "ARE YOU OK?"
I'm like, "Pagal budhiya, what makes you think I'd be OKAY after this stunt? This feat of South-Indian film style heroism? Wait till I take your granddaughter and ask her to trek all the way to Vaishno Devi. Tab tumhen samajh mei aayega!!"
And Adi, the obedient, Ishima-ed beta that he is, decides not to have even a drop of water coz oh, puja se pehle kuch khana peena nai hai
And his chest swells with pride when Amma calls him "beta". Almost like, YAYYAYYAA! I won a bronze medal, chahe Olympics jeetu na jeetu!
I was also wondering, HOW DID THE OLD LADY CELEBRATE HER MOTHER'S BIRTHDAY ALL THESE YEARS? SINCE SHE HAS A KNEE PROB AND CANT MANAGE SUCH FEATS???
They dont even have chopper-arrangements like the ones at Vaishno Devi😲😲
Thank God, she said she'll go down herself. Else, I'd have just asked Adi to push her off the stairs or something😆😆 so much for love!!
This was clearly stolen from Chennai Express, this was the sub-plot. And Adi coming to the Tamil family to be tested on his marriage potential (the main plot), was clearly taken from Nuvastanante Nenodantanna (Siddharth and Trishna starrer Telugu movie).
These are some of the major doubts I had.😕
Simmi wants to gift Pihu a brand new phone just as she did Ananya. Shouldn't she ideally have gone and slammed it in Shagun's face and asked her not to teach her kid wrong things? But khair, in a way it's good. She is giving it back in her own way. I'd be glad to see her working though, doing SOMETHING with her life. I mean, its pure torture seeing ALL THE BHALLA WOMEN COOK, CLEAN, COOK, CLEAN, SHOP and then COOK, CLEAN, SHOP AND SOLVE FAMILY PROBS the whole frikkin time.😕😕
I am not even going to discuss IshRa and Pihu scene. That spoilt, ungrateful brat is lucky they came and got her out of that car. With Shagun gone for so long, she might as well have passed out of suffocation or something. Such a moron. If she doesn't turn a little more tolerable than she is now, then I'd rather she didn't come on screen at all. It's heartbreaking to see her be so nasty with Ishita. But I am thinking, WHY DIDN'T THEY EXECUTE THIS CAR WALA SCENE IN SUCH A WAY THAT MAKES SHAGUN LOOK LIKE THE HORRIBLE, IRRESPONSIBLE MOTHER THAT SHE IS?? 😡😡
BOTH ISHRA are responsible for it in their own way; Raman and co. more so. I mean, just because the child's mom is SUPPOSEDLY DEAD, will you make SOMEONE else the mom? And have the child BELIEVE the other woman is her real mom?
P.S. I REALLY want to see Aalu undergoing some similar Punjabi "tests" and making an ass out of herself😆😆
P.S. I am keener to see Shobana "test" Shaggy as well, and then brand her useless and totally unfit for Mani. Even better, show Pihu what a useless mother she has in her life😉
