Post leap the only complain I have with the CVs are the below the belt dialogs they gave Raman [I still remember the RKB who apologizes to appa in the initial episodes. Sigh]. Otherwise, every character you analyze has kind of taken an easy way out to compromise with the 'manhoos raath' as Toshiji puts it. Every character can see his/her pain/loss but not really what others might be going through!
Take Romi, the night becomes the last straw. He refuses to see that his bhai and family are in pain, he can only see that he was beaten up and ends up pairing with Ashok. Mihika also thinks jiju is wrong and so sides with Romi. Ruhi comes back and you see Romi is now slowly beginning to see what a mess the whole situation is. He still won't forgive his bhai but Ruhi is special, he can come back to the family for her.
The Bhallas - big hit since they loose their beloved Ruhi and Ishita but then they have a small infant to raise. Can they do it alone? Sure they can but Shagun moves in for whatever reason and they let it happen since it is a more convenient arrangement. Do they think of the consequences that might arise later for Pihu? Not really. So now they are faced two granddaughters one who thinks that they traded her and one who does not know of her sister or mother. Now what?
Ishita - she is the deep one - will internalize all her feelings and hope she gives the least discomfort to anyone. She is broken and believes that she is the cause of bad luck to her loved ones. Can she rise over that and see the pain her departure caused to Raman, her parents and in-laws? She did not do so until she returned and saw the reality. But she cannot become JKR overnight since there is no Pihu to consider.
Raman - always the one to fly off the handle (and Ashok uses that as a trigger very effectively!). Can he see that other folks are in pain? Of course not. He has convinced himself that he is the only victim. As for his 'redemption' it will come and going by yhm standards, they will have him guilt ridden for days (and mostly in inactive state although fans will hope he is the guy that will save the day)
The point in all these though that none of the adults can see what they are putting the kids through.. Adi has shaped up to be a beautiful person inspite of the chaos around him. Ruhi, like her dad, has reasons to believe that she is only victim. Pihu who the CVs will most likely use as at the person to solve the whole mess, has so much love and yet lives a life without knowing her true identity.
CVs have lots of matter to drag this track for eons, given the high TRPs:) As of now, we have to wait for that trigger when Mani or Aaliyaa blurts out what happened to Ishita. I think Ashok and Nidhi will be the cause for that to happen!
