How can Raman be compared to a woman who kidnapped a child out of some misplaced stupid need for revenge and retribution who has the gall to say she has done nothing wrong in abusing that child for ages as she tortured and exploited her - as she compared herself to a parental figure and was stupid enough to say she would file a custody case for the said 'kidnapped' child.
Raman has been not exactly the greatest of fathers to Adi, he has been wrong in slapping around his son, adult or otherwise doesn't count in my opinion but he has also been the father who has loved Adi regardless of the way his son behaved with him. He is the same father who stood by Adi as he committed a crime - first as a madly in love overprotective parent to shield him and then as a father who needs to teach his child the rights from the wrongs to get him punished. He is the same father Adi callled when he and his mom were in the dumps, literally and Raman didn't fail him.
Recently for all his ignorance towards Adi, when his son needed him the most the man stood by his child as he had an unwavering faith in his son and the upbringing Ishita gave him when he defended him in the police station.
Raman is a man who makes mistakes, that is the thing that draws us to him as well as drives us crazy too but he is nonetheless nothing like that vile monster of a woman who abuses Ruhi.
If need arises, the man would without hesitation die for any of his children, and that I suppose is what seperates him from that monster.
Yes he is erring, he is making mistakes but mistakes don't necessarily equate to the horrors unleashed for personal vendetta andvengeance derived by abusing a helpless, defenceless child or children as that vile woman is bound to do - after all she kidnapped a newlyborn Pihu too for this very purpose.
So yeah between a miserable ignorant father and a child abuser I have to pick one - I would say the miserable, ignorant father is a better deal any day.
