Like Raman and Ishita, Ruhi too came with both baggage, and insecurity.
Except Raman and Ishita were and are adults. Rui still isn't.
She came into the world, already unwanted. Much like Raman and Ishita were unwanted. But Ruhi started her very life that way.
She could see, from a tender age, how her father ignored her. She questioned why she had no mother.
Ruhi was never allowed to be a child. thrust into a game of tug of war, between a mother who wanted her for the sake of spiting her father, and a mother who's very heart spoke to her.
Ruhi Bhalla only ever found momentary happiness in the arms of a mother she chose herself. despite the chaos, and despite the fact that she grew up very, very quickly, Ruhi still managed to find her very imperfect world, perfect. As long as her Ishima was with her.
And then, Raman too began to show just how much he loved, treasured, adored ruhi.
Ruhi Bhalla found heaven on earth despite the cruelty the world had shown her.
Essentially, every insecurity Raman and Ishita have dealt with, Ruhi too has felt. At the start of the show, we get lost in her beautiful, questioning eyes. And despite the fact that Ruhi is constantly put into turmoil, as long as her parents are by her side, she finds strength in them, and she appears strong, even when raman and ishita fall weak.
That was the Ruhi Bhalla we knew.
Who went from being unwanted, to the very reason her Ishima lived.
After the leap, we have seen Raman, Ishita and Ruhi, once again, all feel unwanted.
Ruhi's life has come full circle. She has no identity, even though she knows who she is. No family, despite living in the same complex.
Insecurity and heartbreak have broken Raman and Ishita, So what did we expect from that innocent child, who compromised upon every turn in her life, as long as her parents were with her.
Ruhi Bhalla, finally broke.
But without a shadow of a doubt, she has proven to be stronger, more resilient than her own parents.
Despite the fact that her wounds run even deeper.
Ruhi wasn't made to feel unwanted just seven years ago, she has been made to feel that way from the very first day she came into the world.
So Ruhi Bhalla is no longer the innocent who ran into the street after her puppy. She's broken, scarred, alone and shattered.
And yet, there is still a strength in her, even her parents haven't managed to find.
